which is to say, not good.

Are you baiting at an advanced level or is this website full of teens?

>3070 gets 80+ FPS with full ray tracing on at 1440p

I don't know what you are trying to prove with that picture but it looks like shit

Don't care. I'm still buying Cyberpunk 2077.

>PS5 can only market the SSD
>They don't even have that anymore
>Snoys will be forced to admit it's meme marking and nothing more
best timeline.

PS5 still have hardware Kraken decompression which PC can't match, which means larger game installs on PC since it would otherwise need to decompress it on the CPU before passing off to the GPU, which defeats the whole point of nVidia's "just load it directly to GPU" thing.

>PS5 still have hardware Kraken decompression

Sorry, I was laughing so hard I forgot to quote you.

No guys, my best friends Mark Sony and Tim Swiney said it's totally different than other SSDs. Something about precalculated shit streaming from storage that I don't understand but will still fit into conversations

-dicore implemented feature that won't be worth to investing in for another 2 years.

2? maybe 4-8 bro...

>Dude, just never implement new technology! There's no reason to!

I honestly feel absolutely nothing when looking at shiny new graphics in games.

>people are actually preordering the rtx 3000 series
>Big Navi is going to come out and give on par performance (or better) for a better price
>AMD's raytracing code will be the industry standard going forward, leaving Nvidia's RTX implementation to fall by the wayside, like physX, gameworks, G-Sync, and so much more
RTX is literally a dead meme walking.

/thread

Who is more delusional? Snoys or AMDfags?

Nvidiots. Right now you sound a lot like Intcels did a few years ago before Ryzen came along.

>AMD's raytracing code will be the industry standard going forward
When has anything AMD made GPU-wise become the industry standard? If anything it'll be developers working RTX first, and then adapting that to run on OpenCL for AMD/consoles.

I can smell the nervous sweat coming from your computer just based on your buzzwords alone kek

I guess 2-4
I don't say you shouldn't invest in it. I'm actually glad for everyone who fell for the 20xx meme, since I think raytracing is a nice feature if it got out of its toddler toothing pains.
But at the moment it's just for early adopters since there aren't many games using it and the currently available cards aren't strong enough to really justify a purchase.
You don't even know if the RTX standard will hold up, or if they will can it in a few years since there is something better.
It's just for early adopters who have money to burn to invest in it now and it could be the next betamax in a few years.

thats not what anyone said bro. the main problem with meme tech is that not everyone is going to have access to it. how many people even have cards that can use RTX? not a significant portion other than to make tech demos or if they're getting paid by nvidia to do it. no games require AVX2 but some could get performance gains from it, it's just not widely adopted yet

remember shader model 1 2 and 3? took a while for most games to use SM3, and now it's not even a discussion point because its widely available.

>RTX standard
RTX is literally just Nvidia implementing/renaming a GPU solution to better handle real time ray tracing. And real time ray tracing has been a thing for what, 30 years now?

Nah that's just you, because of how much more is pouring out of your own pores. You are pissing yourself
Well, for one, freesync. Mantle also is the reason Vulkan is a thing. AMD actually contributes to open standards, which improves the industry as a whole.

Is this it? is the Waitâ„¢ finally over? can i put my 980 to rest now?

>how many people even have cards that can use RTX
Well unless you have an RTX card you don't have an RTX card....

>Sorry, I was laughing so hard I forgot to quote you.
kek

yeah in 10 years cards wont be branded RTX but can still use features of them, it's just marketing bro...

>Nah that's just you, because of how much more is pouring out of your own pores. You are pissing yourself
Kek, the projection.

Looks bland and floaty tho.

probably the ones that paid 700-1200 for a gpu in the last two years only for that shit to get obsolete by the same manufacturers today

They're probably going to stick with the RTX moniker for a long time.

Sure, has been used since toy story 1 and even longer.
But the solution to slap on additional GPUs for it and the architecture are nvidia stuff. If you want it to hold up AMD has to come up with their solution, too. Since there is no reason to keep a standard only 50% of all players have and put additional dev time into it. Unless you get bucks from Nvidia for it, that's a possibility.
Just sit back on the raytracing stuff until the 3080ti drops and than check again how many games actually support it and if it still wrecks your overall performance.
As it's now most people probably gonna run that AI frame thing on their rtx cores instead of having glorious raytracing at 20 frames.

Absolutely afraid. Big Navi is gonna be Nvidia's Ryzen

the cars have no shadow lol

the first post is the best post

>Since there is no reason to keep a standard only 50%
Doesn't nvidia have more than half of the market share?

I'm not sure why our conversation is so focused on real time ray tracing anyway. these are still GPUs. Developers aren't forced to use ray tracing, you aren't forced to turn it on (at the moment.) The 3080 still is a super car compared to my old 970.
