With the RTX 3070 reportedly being more powerful than the RTX 2080ti at a much lower price point, which card are you getting Zig Forums, if any?

3080, but i don't know what CPU to get

I'd pair it with an AMD CPU these days. Cheaper for the same if not better performance in gaming as the 10th gen intel chips.

I got a 3900X and it was a no brainer when the closest intel was $100 more for maybe like 5 fps more with far worse performance for multithreaded tasks

Same here. I do a lot of 2d and 3d rendering for work and game in my free time so AMD had the clear edge for me.

don't the ryzens kinda suck at emulation?

I'm not any richer now than what I was back then, so 3060 it is.

lolno

Not for 6th gen. I use my PC to emulate PS2 and gamecube very frequently. I don't know about 7th gen though, never tried.

1080ti after 3080 releases.
And use my 970 for GPU passthrough

Fuck i posted twice. Oh well.

Nice.
When DDR5 rolls around I'll build a new PC and probably pick RTX 3080 for it.

3080. Although, I'm mighty tempted to get a 3090, since VRAM is the biggest VR bottleneck.

Fucking end it

>DDR5
hasn't that shit been out for years

You doing VM gaming user?

Nope DDR4 is the current one and I'm still on DDR3. Vowed not to upgrade until DDR5.

No, not for consumer mobo's.

>2080
>$825
That's a fat L

Its mostly to get around anticheat and wine stuttering. Im dual booting right now and im hoping that i dont have to restart my computer every time i want to play titanfall after i get it set up.

It will have to be the 3090 since i dont want to downgrade ram for 4k

>titanfall
>in 2020
That game still has a community???

How much vram does 4k gaming take up these days?

3070, upgrading from a 1070ti.
Also gonna grab a new cpu, probably a 3900x after the 4000 series drops and cuts the price.

Im not sure about the original but tf2 still gets pretty fast matchmaking on attrition and

Division 2 uses 12gb +

There is no way 3070 won't actually retail for at least 600 though.

3080 and I'm gonna get a 3700X to go with it. I can't wait.

I'm even poorer than before so probably a 3050

Was originally going to wait for the 3060, but now I'm getting a 3070.

You're prob gonna cpu bottleneck if you do that.

Why would I upgrade my PC if all the games I play run perfectly now?

1060 3GB here
Was thinking of just getting a 2070 after 3x dropped, I'd assume they'd lower the price. But not anymore.
Though $499 sounds too good to be true.

Absolutely based 1070chad

That's complete fucking bullshit.

Why not? MSRP and founders cards is $500.

If the 3060 is $350 or less and around the power of a 2070S, I'll get it. If not I'll just get a 3070.

The demand will be through the roof and retailers will adjust.

>3700X
>bottleneck
Intelshills need not apply.

>bought a 2070 super two months ago
Guess I'll buy it in a few years

3080 though I’m still using a 6700k so not sure how that’ll go

I'm waiting for actual benchmarks.
Upgraded last year from shit like i5 2500k+560Ti to R5 3600+RX 5700XT, so I don't really care about upgrading anyways

I'm betting nvidia made the 3070 so cheap because they fear AMDs big navi or whatever the fuck it's called. Either way i'm happy that i can get above 2080ti performance for the price of a new console

I'm rocking a 1080 right now, am I going to have to upgrade the rest of my shit now too?

3070, but im really tempted to shill out for the 3080. is the difference in power big enough to be worth it?

>he bought a 20 series card
We all said it was a meme generation

Depending on how things work out might get the 3080 to replace my 1070 TI. The 1070 holds up alright but I figure a 3080 will last for years while being about 3 times as good, if not more.

I could buy a 3070 but I'd have to pair it with an i5 8400. Bad idea for 1080p 144hz gayming?

Yeah, I'm waiting too.
I'm hoping for 1440p 144fps for my next upgrade.

If nvidia's reveal is anything to go by and not just marketing bs, then having double the performance of the 2080 in 1 card is definitely worth it imo. I'll probably be picking up a 3080 myself.

If you like random heat spikes for no reason and thus fan fuckery, get zen.

there will be no 60s cards in the next gen.

I'm getting an amd cpu, idiot. The 3070 is supposed to be stronger than a 2080ti, and it was often recommended to pair a 3900x with the 2080ti. Will it be fine, sure. But if you're getting a card supposedly worth 2x2080 and getting a cpu recommended for a single 2070, you can draw some obvious conclusions.

Not if you have a first gen ryzen or 8th gen intel or better already.
