Star Citizen

When they implement dynamic server meshing which seamlessly allows for 1000 players to be in the same zone with no desync or lag, will you finally apologize and admit it isnt a scam?

No.

I'm already running an overclocked quantum processor. Scam Citizen is old news dude.

no one cares you brain damaged retard

>dynamic server meshing which seamlessly allows for 1000 players to be in the same zone with no desync or lag
Isn't this the same shit they promised with GTAV and then had 32 players and massive loading times lol.

>gta v
>dynamic servers
>servers
fucking save us all the time of reading this bullshit and call it what it is. Peer 2 Peer.

Considering the game already supports 50 players without this being implemented, no.
Its not too late to admit you were wrong. We all make mistakes sometimes.

Tell ya what OP. I'll apologize for calling Scam Shitizen a scam if you apologize for being wrong.

Wrong about what?

about scam shitizen not being a scam

Sure, remind me in 2048 when the beta releases.

But its not. They are making considerable progress and there is a playable game right now. Something taking longer than expected is not a scam, take your ADHD meds.

It's a poor successor to Freelancer somehow. Underspace better.

So by that logic if i back something on kickstarter, its not a scam if they show me a working demo even if its like 3 years past the promised delivery date?
Stay seething, and cope some more knowing that you were conned so hard that you have to be an apologist for scam shitizen.

If they never progress past the demo, it might be a scam. Or it could also be mismanaged with honest intentions. You should really learn what the buzzwords you use mean. Either way, SC continues to add new features every month, and there is a playable game with multiple planets, mission types and PvP that I can fuck around in with my 40$ package. If it does not pan out, oh well, but I already got my value out of the game.

Mate, heres the reality. It's been what, 8 years? It's starting to fall into duke nukem forever territory. It will NEVER meet its expectations because its been hyped and hyped and hyped by idiots like you so much that when the devs finally say "we're done", you're all gonna be like "but wheres X or wheres Y"

OR, the devs will never be done because idiots like you encourage feature creep. I get it, freelancer was a fun game. Lord knows I sunk many hours into exploring the hidden nomad systems and modding the fuck out of the game. But that time has passed user. Move on.

>1000 players
Woah man really? 1000 players in one massively multiplayer online video game?
Impossible, in current year?

>because its been hyped and hyped and hyped by idiot

but its been shit on for being a scam nonstop since inception. I think people would much rather it be a scam and fail rather than it release and be fun. Zig Forums and 4channers in general are getting tired of videogames and the only way they can be entertained now is by real-life calamity and suffering.

when star citizen has an official 1.0 release with all the content that was promised in the original kickstarter and every single thing that has been announced since then i will apologize and admit it's not a scam.

>the only way they can be entertained now is by real-life calamity and suffering.
because thats all there is in this world. Nothing fun stays fun for long.

>This other game was a failure so this one will be
That is not really a good argument, user. The game has also definitely expanded in scope since 2014/15, but its been a while since they have announced any new features/gameplay systems. I would say the roadmap is pretty concrete at this point, and a lot of the foundation has been laid. The flight model is done, secondary systems like mining, scanning, bounty hunting and trading are already in, they just need to be fleshed out a little more. All thats really left to add are the remaining ships, stealth/electronic warfare gameplay and exploration features. I would say its got maybe 2-3 more years of dev time max, for a game that will revolutionize the genre.

There is literally no game in existence right now that can support 1000 players+ in close proximity, in real time with persistence, in their own spaceships with complex flight models, particle effects and gameplay systems. EvE has to literally slow down time to facilitate such things.

>I would say its got maybe 2-3 more years of dev time max
are you willing to wager your soul on that?

>these are the people that bought chris roberts a ten thousand dollar door.

>entire galaxy
>hundred star systems
>ten players per system

You'll be dead by the time that feature gets added to the "game" bruh

You think start citizen will have more than a handful of star systems? HA

But mister Roberts promised

Attached: rFND197.jpg (1300x3493, 791.37K)

What part of close proximity did you not understand?
I will concede the player count here, but it still does not meet the complex flight model requirements or all the persistence features that are needed for the MMORPG aspect of the game. And before they added that fuckhuge cruiser, none of the ships allowed players to walk around inside of them and shit. I dont even know if that one does either.
Cope

All the red planets are in the game now. Systems will be easier to roll out now that they are finishing up the procedural generation tech that builds them.

What part of cryteks engine limitations do you not understand?
And disconnected shards with ten or twenty or one hundred players meran nothing.
It will never be the freelancer+mass effect+star trek hybrid+kotor from my dreams.

Go fuck yourself in the ass with a rusty nail and try to not hurt your head down there while you do it, dumb cultist.

Do you think they can really do it? I've played the alpha on and off over many years now, it doesnt seem possible. I've always wondered how Planetside has managed something similar so well and no ones been able to copy it. From playing the desync fest that is Star Marine and the ultra unoptimized persistent universe, it simply doesnt seem possible.

And when I finish the game making the magical tech procedural ai that makes games I will be making a new game every day.

Last time I heard the "we were just working on the engine all this time, the content will come as soon as its perfect" the engine was a trashfire and the content got downgraded from pre release.
