This looks surpisingly good considering. It's like they took what worked in BF2 and built upon it while taking many gameplay features and designs from the OG Tie Fighter/XWING.

I can't muster up the same excitement for star wars anymore after the Disney trilogy. I would have still bought this solely for the VR support though if I didn't have to install origin to play it, but alas, even with the return to steam, they still make you use that. I'm just gonna continue the EA boycott I've maintained since Battlefield 3 desu, not like I'm missing that much, there's other space games.

Star Wars Squadrons LOOKS really good if you ignore all the actual "gameplay" of it, which looks genuinely awful. EA Battlefront 2's space battles look more enjoyable for Chrissakes, and that's accounting for first-person cockpit view in EAFront.
