first thread:522950363 so its been about 2 days since i started the original thread. it didnt take long until it lost traction and was archived. at first i somewhat took it as a blessing in disquise. no one really belived me anyway, and i was getting kinda scared at the prospect of so blatantly leaking confidential info. i was thinking it was my chance to wipe my hands clean and walk away.
which it probably was.
but ive changed my mind yet again, so here i am once more
to start i got some things cleaned up about the console hardware. turns out i had missunderstood some things during the briefing conference we had. the whole thing i said about passive cooling? totally false the storage is upgraded, but not in size as i initially thought. it just has faster read write speeds. and i think it supports faster SD cards too. but still 32 gigs
still dont know anything specific about the beefed up processor. idk if its something entirely new, or just a new version or whatever.
two other things i've heard about are 1: the console will be a different color to help differenciate it from the standard switch? and 2: the gyroscope *in* the console- (not the ones in the joycons) is supposed to be more accurate. maybe adding a magnometer like the wii u gamepad? might be good for stuff like labo vr idk.
i couldn't glean too much more from the hardware guys, as i think i already came off as pretty snoopy. so i aborted asking more about it.
totally unrelated to my snooping me and my peers were told more about the 2020 marketing plan. got to see a few ads early so that was cool. nothing major. just reels of big already existing games. these ads in question are going to mainly be pushed to places like youtube and other social media platforms. instead of the TV and irl ads that are more common around the holiday season.
speaking of holiday season, the list of selects games for later in the year was shared to me this morning to share to retailers. that which i will share below

honestly i was kind of expecting a few more. and theres usually some sort of console bundle specifically for black friday.
in fact, there doesnt seem to be anything specific for black friday. unless that's when the selects games are coming, which seems pretty likely to me. I just really would have expected the lites with mariokart to have been a black friday thing too :/
one thing is for certain though. do not expect any special edition consoles to be popping up anytime soon. special bundles with different colored joycon or games? thats more likely, but i even doubt that.
Anything that would require putting more stress on the production lines is an absolute no go. i even heard there was talk about temporarily discontinuing grey joycon switch bundle. yellow, dark red, and grey sets were already discontinued earlier this year to ease on production. they'll likely be back eventually when covid dies down
