It's on its way. The company Starbreeze got a shit ton of government money to pay of debts and now Payday 3 will be a thing in a few years with full console support. It's also on Unreal Engine and not Diesel like the first two.

Unreal instead of Source, actually not sure how I think of this as it sure seems like a risky move and look at Titanfall you can make it look great even in a modified Sourceengine

If the Diesel 2 was based on Diesel which was itself based on the Source engine then how would that not be a modified Sourceengine?

first diesel game was released in 2001, source was released in 2004

It wasn't a game where physics was an important part have you even played the game and adding physics wouldn't really change anything plus it would likely not be playable on toasters either

My favorite part about Payday 2 was how they made you download every piece of DLC and how it could be unlocked via a lua script/trainer so you could play it for free and online with other people.
