I wish there were some way of knowing how many people were actually able to figure that out without a guide.
Not me, even though the game hammered home that the corridor of blood is NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THERE.
I did solve the gates of hell all on my own though.
I think the seven gates is pretty easy to figure out. The next gate is almost always based on the item it removes; you know it's the one that requires the clay doll outfit because it then removes it.
I know, right? It's like a reverse metroidvania. Best puzzle ever.
What game?
La-Mulana.
thank you
>get to a room with a skull or something
>it says "he who provokes me will regret it dearly"
>provoke him
>get absolutely fucked
And that's how I got scared of La Mulana
>tablet says to look up and receive treasure
>look up
>did not receive treasure
>come back later after figuring out the clues
>treasure acquired
What's new in the HT version? Anything I should be jealous about?
I hate that they changed the music in LM2 1.7.7.2, the new music sounds far worse, and there's no way to get the old music back.
regularly.
Really? What songs? Is there a comparison somewhere?
>Every area has a front and a back
>The backside of the gate of guidance is the confusion gate
>The price you pay for having an easy tutorial level is a super bullshit level later on in the game
BRILLIANT
Every song has been changed. There are a few that sound better, but the overwhelming majority sound much worse.
I can't find the new ones on Youtube, but if you check this thread:

ctrl+f music reveals quite a few complaints about it.
All of that happened over a year ago, so I doubt they are going to fix it.
Death Gene and Valhalla Party come to mind.
I really liked how these games were unapologetically extremely difficult with basically zero player assistance whatsoever. I can't think of any other game that does that. That said, from a fun-having perspective, it was a bit too much since you inevitably get frustrated after hours and have to look things up. Still enjoyed the games for the novelty, though.
Can't you just download an earlier build from Steam's depository and use the music player from there to get the music?
I know you could have used an earlier version to progress past one of those sub-bosses at one point because a hotfix had bugged the fight.
>no more la-mulana games
>environmental station alpha 2 may not have cryptic post-game
>tower of oannes never ever
>no news about next game by naramura
FUCK
>La Mulana 3 never ever
why live
>>environmental station alpha 2 may not have cryptic post-game
Was that mentioned by the dev somewhere or is that just you being pessimistic?
I didn't believe
>when you put a trap in your sequel explicitly meant to fuck people over who played the first game
I love you too Naramura you beautiful troll
Why hasn't anybody made anything even close to la mulana? It's amazing that it's the only game of its kind in the entire history of video games.
La Mulana is based on The Maze of Galious
because let's be real, this game filters 99.9% of players
Ok but that's like a 35 year old game. Nobody has made anything like it since, besides la mulana.
