It always had its fair amount of problems that are unseen in other Mario titles. But it's far from being the worst

I think this game had a glitch that would delete your save data if you shut the console down / ran out of battery before first quitting the game and returning to the main menu.

I played SML1 very late. While I'm usually a mariofag, you're right. It played like a subpar Mario knockoff you'd find in a ti-84 calculator or nokia cellphone.

Nah, Zen Pinball Tables are built around being unrealistic.
The exception is the Williams tables since they're replicas of real tables and even have an option for more realistic ball physics
