SO YOU BUY IT NOW! NOW NOW NOW! AND NEXT YEAR YOU BUY 3D ARR STARS PRUS GARAXY 2! BUY BUY BUY NOW NOW NOW GAIJIN PAYPIGGU!
it incentives people to buy it because they won't have a chance to do it again
That’s really shitty practice for a digital product
New console in April, tard
What, you thought that trash hardware was going to last for 5-6 years?
It's the same strategy brands like Supreme use. People go insane over one-time limited collections, and these items become extremely valuable later.
what is this disney vault?
>What do they get
It pisses you off and they get off to it. Fucking based as shit
>a limited run of retail edition and digital edition will be available for a limited time
The wording sounds like after the "limited time" the "limited edition" goes away and gets replaced with a normal version of the game collection. Or Nintendo just really want to have even the digital be limited.
You know you can make your point without writing like you were brain damaged, right?
PirateChads win again.
They get to analyze a huge data set to determine how artificial scarcity effects product sales and consumer opinion.
>What do they gain from doing this ?
Christmas console sales
Nintendo knows their prime demographic. Scalpers
FAK YOU GAIJIN YOU NO CAN TERR ME WHAT TO DO
I AM NINTENDO
I AM VIDEO GAMES
I AM GOD
You should be honored. HONORED to give Nintendo your currency and get a limited tike masterpiece.
Jokes on you, now I'll just pirate it.
This. So many illiterate fucks. It’s astounding.
>Nintendo this desperate to trick investors after AC inevitably starts slowing down soon
soitendo fans are braindead and extremely susceptible to FUD as a result
You know if you wanted to be a queer about things you could go back where you came from. Shitposting is fun
>1 in every 3 switch owners have AC
>Heh, nintendoomed, heh
Get fukt. Anniversaries don't last forever.
That doesn't really make sense considering they're selling three old games that existed on prior consoles and can be easily emulated. There's nothing rare about this.
If it was just the physical edition and it had some rare item or case that would make sense, but the digital release is limited as well. There's no "normal version".
>can be easily emulated
Think about how big the world is before saying stuff like this.
portendo fans are too retarded to emulate
Okay but even the most braindead retards would know these are old games being resold. This collection doesn't even have new graphics like All-Stars did. They are legitimately the same old games with some small tweaks like 16:9.
Because to them, brand power > profit. Limited edition means just that, limited. Either you get the game or miss out on it forever, which makes the game/brand more appealing. Hate it all you want, these things are what going to ensure there will be a Mario 100th year anniversary way down the line.
An user posted on another thread that the limititation seems to be related to pandemic issues. Basicaly it could mean tgat they have a limited stock that's gonna be sold staring september and they are gonna properly stock the game march next year.
Now the digital availability thing is weird.
Don't buy it, then. What's the issue here? Are you mad that I buy things with my money? Why?
So it's more of a discounted bundle being sold for the Mario anniversary then.
No. Straight from Nintendo UK
>*While Super Mario 3D All-Stars can only be purchased until 31/03/2021, owners can still play its entire contents after this date has passed, and can also redownload it from Nintendo eShop if the software has been archived.
Would they really make more sales in 6 months with artificial exclusivity than if they kept it available like everything else? Smash bros and animal crossing and mario party have no issues selling millions upon millions of copies without any artificial exclusivity. Sure a collection of ports won't sell as well, but how does this not hamper their own potential profit?
those braindead retards don't care if it's old. they will buy it anyway because it's nintendo.
case in point
The digital thing is basically just a limited time discount. Instead of getting all three games separately at a higher price, you can get all three at once cheaper.
Fear of missing out
Nintendo are the biggest scalpers though. More than 60% of all Nintendo scalping is carried out by Nintendo themselves by holding back copies of games or machines or whatever else and putting them on ebay.
My dad told and he works for Nintendo so I think he knows.
Timed exclusive = fear of missing out = generating more sales
They WANT the physical edition to be a rare collectible. But making it strictly physical would make people upset, so they also added the digital version, also limited (so it wouldn't devalue the physical edition).
has it right most likely. This ain't the first time they've done this, and are now looking how scarcity works for digital. It's absolutely retarded and should be fought against as much as possible, but you and me both know we're going to buy it.
Because they can sell the port later down the line for their next console. Having everyone own it now would mean there's one less incentive for people to buy the next Nintendo console.
>can also redownload it from Nintendo eShop if the software has been archived.
Does this mean that if I delete the software completely I can't redownload it afterwards?
Switch has two options. Archive and Delete, if I delete it I can't redownload it?
Fuck, buying physical, not taking chances
It’s kind of nice that they tell us this time when they stop making copies, all their other shit just silently goes OOP
Get a job?
They want to force holiday sales since their only other title is Pikmin and historically that series does fairly mediocre for a Nintendo franchise.
>Would they really make more sales in 6 months with artificial exclusivity than if they kept it available like everything else
yes, soitendo fans are that retarded and will buy even more of it if soitendo tells them it's SUPER EXCLUSIVE LIMITED TIME SPECIAL EDITION
what is?
I just woke up

Don't reply if you can't follow the reply chain, you dumb fanboy.
Yes.
The question isn't whether it will sell (remasters keep getting made for a reason), the question is whether it's worth it for Nintendo to pretend this is some rare item that you need to desperately go out and buy immediately, and sacrifice long-term sales in the process. This has to be an experiment on Nintendo's part. The funny thing is that fanboys used to defend Nintendo keeping their games eternally at full price, because they're "premium" products that maintain their value and people will keep buying them years after release. Guess that got thrown out the window.
Don't be retarded, you can't buy the game after March 31, not that you can't download the game that you bought. You must be actually retarded if you think you can't download it again after that.
