I traded my copy of Pikmin to a friend who got this with his Gamecube. He wasn't a Zelda fan and I didn't like Pikmin so it worked out for both of us

No, it's the GC Master Quest but mirrored. You might be thinking of TP HD Hero Mode which is just double damage + mirrored.

The gimmick was that if you owned both a gamecube and a gba/gba player for GC you could play every Zelda released up to that point.

Anyone play that newish Master of Time ROMhack? It's nice it's such a fully fledged game for a ROM hack but I'm not sure how I feel about how Metroid-y it is with false starts and dead ends.
