>Hire graphic artist to make a collectors edition to promote 35 years of history >Can't even properly scale sunshine's logo evenly
Who the fuck is actually going to buy this. the product is shoddy in every way possible. Everyone here even the NEETest of NEETS can afford $60. the point isnt you can't afford it. the point is its a BAD INVESTMENT. This is obviously going to be on some collectors shelf ready to scalp for $400 in a year or so, and thats fine. but if thats the intent, then WHY is such low effort gone into the product itself? Not the game mind you, the packaging. This shouls be gold plated, or at least framed in red like those wii "Best of" boxes, at least look right, presentable. this thing literally looks like some kid made it on VGBOXart, or Deviantart for fun. its not a finalized looking product and especially not one that deserves a limited time release to promote 35 years of content.
Its product quality, why wouldn't you care. you're paying SIXTY DOLLARS for a port of three games from a decade ago and beyond, so yes I expect them to return in kind and deliver a quality project, which they are not, if they want my money.
Lincoln Jones
The logo of one of the games on the box that may not even be final doesn't dictate the quality of the video games themselves.

Obsessing over video game logos isn’t heathy behavior. Go outside
Owen Butler
It looks fine you aspie.

>Of the videogames themselves We're not talking about the video games, we're talking about the box. This is a collectors piece. Nobody is going to buy this to play it, its going to remain unopened and on somebody's shelf for the next several years. The originals are all still very much accesible, and we even have the source code for 64 to run on PC, there is no point to this collection even to the most diehard mario fan, other than for them to show off on a shelf. Which brings me back full circle, the box is horrendous. the box is what people are paying for. not the games included. not the manual, the box.
If the box is shoddy and has no care put into it, why buy it?
Jack Allen
get covid frist,retard.

It's clearly squished 5 pixels on each side, that is far from "fine' This isnt even professionally done, its like someone opened paint and shrunk the logo causing a bunch of artifacting, and loss of data. that is concerning from a company as big and well known as Nintendo. hell, its more than concerning. its downright lazy.
Okay? so you're a non issue here. why are you responding to me? This is clearly only to those who buy physical. digital need not apply, that should be common sense. Digital does not have a box.
Michael Hall
Of all the things one could complain about for all stars this is the weirdest
It has nothing to do with "all stars" per-say, it has to do with nintendo quality control. Standard msrp releases don't have these issues, they don't look shoddily made, so why does a 35 year tribute "special limited edition" timed release, have these problems? This is almost as bad as okami wii having the IGN logo on it's case. But capcom is incompetent. Nintendo is not., or rather they should not be. Quality assurance exists for a reason, and they didin't even try to run this by them. This is a marketing nightmare, and it just makes nintendo as a whole look cheap, shoddy, and shady.

Easton Carter
Lol holy fuck you’re actually retarded. This is great
Thomas Perry
You guys worry me. this is a legitimate issue that any person in any marketing or business department would realize is an immediate issue. Hell you're average "Normie" consumer shhould be able to pick up a lazy product when they see it. yet here you all are defending a product simply because you grew up with it? That seems a bit creepy, and out there wouldn't you say?
Joshua Bennett
what exactly, shit on the grass like a dog. No thanks.
This stupid go outside meme really cracks me up over the silly facade of the "obsession" that people claim others have online.
If you aren't specific about things might as well kill yourself.
>hire graphic artist Why do that if you can just let the interns do it?
Levi Collins
Now use a high quality raster instead of a standard Jpeg. You clearly don't see the issue if thats all you did.
Nathaniel Smith
Yeah and they put a big green circle around it!
Jack Hernandez
The worst part is that ugly gold gradient taking up 15% of the cover at the bottom, and using the cover art of each game instead of some unique render or screenshots of the games in front.
Nicholas Clark
Next you're going to tell me rotational velocidensity caused the original logo to degrade as the file sat in storage.
Grayson Perry
No because thats stupid and makes no sense. A corporate company of 1000-+ employees using a literal jpeg quality logo on an offiical saleable product however, is.
Levi Lee
You pointed out the "issue" from a low quality JPEG in the OP, dipshit. Show me a high resolution image of the cover art and MAYBE I'll believe you, except I won't because a horizontal squish of the logo would still be detectable at the resolution I compared it at. Go spend your autism brainpower elsewhere.
