How do you fit videogames around work?
NEETs need not reply I know you all have jobs from >coworkers start talking about videogames threads.

>How do I be a slave and still enjoy my life?
You're not supposed to, user.
>quit after high school
>ends up working at my dad’s field about flowers
is mostly ok, i only work in the morning, 4 hours, doing low effort work. I should try doing stuff faster. In the afternoon i spent all the day playing videogames. I sgould start doing walks and eating less junk food but is sooooo boring. Also I want to learn to draw
yeah my life is mediocre
I have plenty of time in the afternoons but usually don't feel like gaming after work, so most of it is done on the weekend.
I'm so neet that I need to find other things to do during the day once I get tired of vidya
same
no one has a job on Zig Forums, we like to make up things a lot just to test how it makes us feel, which in the case of making up the fact of having a job, is a bittersweet feeling
How the fuck do you get to be NEETs?
I'm a freelance worker
weeks could pass without a single day of work
that's gaming time
then, the phone rings in the middle of the night, I work non stop for the next couple weeks (and I mean 9am-4am)
rinse and repeat
I want a normal job guys
I'm a a neet and i can buy a 3080 no problem thanks to autismbux.
rich family
>be working from home
>block time in outlook calendar as "meeting prep"
>????
>profit
The key is to just look busy. If someone asks what I was doing I just forward them some documents I prepared quickly.
>Corona hits
>Friends don't ask me to go out anymore because everything's closed
>Suddenly have time and energy to actually play video games
Almost finished going through my backlog. I think I'm built for quarantine
Some are neets from family providing them, some live off unemployment (me since virus). some have disabilities and get paid for that, others are stealing shit to an insane degree and living in people's walls, then the popular wellfare.
i get off work at 2:30 home by 2:40-45. asleep by 11ish up at 5:20. i have 9ish hours to do whatever the fuck i want every day
what do you do that finishes so early?
What do you do exactly?
2 years of daily drawing practice and you will be a good artist.
Take advantage of the low work hours to learn things you want to learn. You may be stuck grinding 10 hour days someday.
Being a neet is so exhausting. I feel like I never have time to do anything I want to do.
I have a degree in product design and a master in engineering
so pretty much everything from technical drawings, to 3D models, for both actual industrial production and rendering, which is always required by the marketing dept. even fucking powerpoints, sometimes
I work with different companies, and for some reason in this fucked up market, they always call me in the same period of time - all of them
so I find myself having deadlines that overlap, it's hell
for them having a single person doing most of the product development is very useful economically, especially during this pandemic
and for me it is too, it's good money
>Take advantage of the low work hours to learn things you want to learn. You may be stuck grinding 10 hour days someday.
i have the feeling that this will happen to me in the future. Also thanks for the advice
I have about 8 games I've preordered that I still haven't had time to start playing
because I'm busy shitposting.
Hey man, as long as you’re happy. Keep working toward those goals! There’s nothing wrong with leading a mediocre life
Pretty easily
Go to work, come home when you're done and play video games.
but how do you cope with the mental tribulations of working 8+ hours a day?
I think I'm like actually retarded. I can't drive a car. I can, but it's super dangerous because I mess things up a lot while on the road. I'm afraid I'll get into a collision due to sheer stupidity/unawareness
Here's my day in a nutshell
>Wake up at 5 AM
>Start work at 6
>Home at 9
>Sleep until 1
>Go back to work by 2
>Home at 5
>sleep until 5 AM
what the hell man driving a car is so easy
What job has such a shitty staggered schedule?
I just got hired at a food bank today. No longer a neet. Schedule looks pretty decent 8-4 Monday through Friday
I'm trying to figure out a good way to stay on top of my drawing practice. Any ideas?
By playing video games, am I missing something that's missing here?
not the user you're replying to but the moment I leave (home) office I waste 0 thoughts on work.
Hell there are times where I don't think of work WHILE working
I get up for work early, generally home by 2PM, have plenty of time from then until bed to play
On top of that I have weekends off, so I feel very comfortable with the amount of time I have to do things
I mean it's basically the same schedule I had for high school so I can't bitch too hard
You could draw for people in drawfag threads.
>get to be
You'd be surprised at how much it sucks. Apparently it does work out for some people, but I just found it to be absolutely paralyzing and getting a nice job has made me so much happier. Having a schedule, making good money and bantering with the lads is infinitely better than the fucking NEET time distortion field and mindlessly consuming entertainment just to escape boredom.
Compressed work schedule of 10 hour days 4 days a week.
Saturday is my day to game for like 12 hours straight.
Rest of the week is handling responsibilities.
this
at some point video games just became the work, the payment being a distraction from existential dread and being a burden on my family, and even those get tiring to play
I work for a campaign and the gov. I just kinda do things whenever. I do inter-agency stuff during the day when other agencies are open. My bosses have accepted I'm a weirdo and do not time sensitive stuff at like 2 am sometimes when the world is quiet. Kinda based but campaign season got everybody crazy. I play games when friends want to play these days mostly.
I've come to conclusion I can only focus on 1 thing in my life at a time.
I only focused on videogames while scraping through schooling until the latter half of college.
then I took college seriously for a bit and stopped being able to find motivation to play videogames.
then I got a parttime internship and stopped taking school seriously but still didn't have motivation for videogames.
then I somehow graduated and went fulltime and still didnt have motivation for videogames.
then I got stressed as fuck and quit my job and had motivation to play videogames again.
not really
>work 12 hours a day
