is puyo tetris any good? I tried puyo champions, but I'm not really feeling it.

The more-aname at AAA was always gonna get the bigger and louder games. So all those years we begged everyone on AAA devs & platforms or put this game here but still made only shitloads made it impossible

If you like Tetris, yes. But be warned that you will fight Puyo players and strong Japanese players online a lot since only they play it these days. PPT2 will change that but that isn't until December.
Puyo mode may or may not be fucked depending on if Sega gives Puyo vs Puyo good physics instead of dragging it down due to Puyo vs Tetris. PPT1 Puyo vs Puyo is arguably very worse compared to Champions Puyo vs Puyo, so I wouldn't jump if gameplay is an issue.
Of course if you want pretty animations and character appeal, that varies greatly.
