Supposed to be the game that ties to MG1 once and for all

>supposed to be the game that ties to MG1 once and for all
>yet doesn't even include an emulator rerelease/translation of the MSX games by M2

>the moment where Medic's true self is revealed, his revealed backstory is void of anything other than "he suddenly existed in MSF out of nowhere as BB's best soldier", losing all chance for the player to develop full empathy for the character's losses
>the phone call at the end doesn't go anywhere
>lots of story segments that are clearly supposed to be canon are entirely optional instead of a requirement
>repeated missions after M30/M31
What was Kojima thinking????????

Ultimately his previous identity doesn't matter he's just a decoy that buys the real Big Boss some time to get the true Outer Heaven operational in MG2.

>It doesn't matter what he lost! The point is that he lost it.
Wow. Imagine actually thinking this is good storywriting. Just kill yourself lmao.

If he cared about his previous life he wouldn't be larping as the greatest soldier of the 20th century long after he finds out the truth

if we go by that logic, The Boss wouldn't care about her past because she was continuing to take the fall for the US Government instead of refusing to do so.

don't try to make sense of it. It's literally a phantom pain. But not in the way autists here say so. It's not good storytelling. It was a cashgrab. Kojima got us with a shit story.

2 = 3 > 1 > PW > V > 4

MGS5's plot felt like it contributed fuck all to the overall plot of the series and ended with more questions than answers

every metal gear solid game actually sucks except 2 and 3

and that's a good thing!
