After March 31st 2021, both the physical and digital version of 3D All-Stars will be no longer available, and after that point in time, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy will all be available as standalone games on the eShop for $30 each (HD fee over Wii U's $20 for Galaxy), as well as Super Mario Galaxy 2 being a standalone $30 game, which can also be added to the collection as DLC for only $20 if you own it, just because they're autistic and didn't want two Galaxy games on the packaging, and want more money for 4 games instead.
The limited aspect is owning all 3 games in one package, maybe even having the soundtrack part being exclusive to the collection, as well as using the limited aspect to get people to buy all 3 games even if they only wanted one or two of the games included and as soon as possible, releasing the game 2 weeks after announcement so you can't take your preorders back once the hype is all over.
>Super Mario Galaxy 2 Only zoomers with incorrect nostalgia like this game. Sunshine is the actual game to be nostalgic about but a lot of dumb zoomies on here are too young and like soulless shit instead.
Gabriel Hill
Sunshine is unpolished with filler blue coins and tedious missions
Ian Bailey
>Sunshine is the actual game to be nostalgic about And he has the gall to talk about incorrect nostalgia.
Nicholas King
I'm a zoomer, born 2001. I played Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, and Galaxy 2 all during my childhood and I'm nostalgic for all of them. I was born at the perfect time to enjoy all these games and it's sad that you simply can't.
Jonathan Moore
Welcome to capitalism baby! Everyone is just a bunch of cucks and sheeps that enable these shitty practices. Get ready for more barebone and overpriced ports but that's okay because NINTENDO and you can play it ON THE GO
>tediousfag at it again If you just learned how to use fludd you might like the game but since it's not like 64's it's bad, right?
Jacob Hall
Fuck off. I only feel nostalgia for Sunshine. I think I was about 12 when it came out. You're retarded if you have nostalgia later just because you were born later.
Sebastian Allen
Same, born 1999 and it was pretty much the best time for it, Sunshine coming out in 2002 when I was 3 years old, 64 DS coming out in 2004 when I was 5 years old, and Galaxy coming out in 2007 when I was 8 years old, was a great childhood.
Dominic Cox
They always limit collections like this one because they dont want their prestige games to appear like shovelware. It is possible they will show up as standalones after march but i would not count on it
Ayden Flores
I had a gamecube growing up and a wii with SM64 Virtual Console, Galaxy, and Galaxy 2 as well. I don't think you know how nostalgia works because it varies person to person. It makes sense that you don't have nostalgia for galaxy 2, you would have been 22 at that point if that figure on your age you gave was accurate. I was 9 when that Galaxy 2 came out.
Cameron Gray
I never played 64 DS I had the original on Wii Virtual Console but I've always wanted to get 64 DS because from what I understand it's pretty different from the original to the point where you don't even start off playing as Mario. It's an interesting game really.
Connor Peterson
I'm a 1998 zoomer and have obsessed over sunshine all my life
Yeah, it's really different, but I'm glad I grew up with it, I'd like to say they're two different flavors over one being superior since they're just so different when it comes to making every star harder to get and adding new worlds and bosses and minigames.
Juan Russell
>Born during the PS2/GC prime so too young to enjoy those classics >Already missed out on the PS1/64 era >Childhood gaming is the Gears/CoD era >Peak teenage years were spent during 204-2017, possibly the worst ever years for games Sounds amazing buddy! Everyone else is so jealous now!
Luke Walker
Finish Yoshi’s Fruit Adventure and tell me that constantly ground pounding the tanks to get the spiky fruit which you have to kick around and then spray the fish with vomit and wait on a slow moving platform and swim back the the very start if you fall isn’t tedious.
William Wright
good luck buying the soundracks of mario games 64, sunshine arent the most expensive its galaxy ost it was 160 on ebay but today i take that back, what the absolute hell? 130 for mario 64?! 220aud for koji kondo mario 64 ost? 60 dollaroos for nintendo power mario 64 ost explain this insanity im GLAD im preordering the all stars collection fuck this ebay scalping insanity at least its 60usd for 3 games and all 3 osts. music otakus are fucking insane!
Yoshi's Fruit Adventure doesn't last more than a few minutes.
Adam Rogers
Also just noticed you said "if you fall" and you said you had to spray the fish proving you're just shit at the game. Once you get the durian you're home free because you can jump to the first platform from the helipad, completely skipping the fish. Then all you need to do is a couple more spin jumps with Yoshi and you can spray the cage from a distance and do the rest with Mario. I bet that you actually go through the platforming section in the caged shine sprite.
Tyler Mitchell
Its literally the same as Galaxy 1 you dipshit. What makes 1 and 2 so fucking radically different?
David Thomas
Sounds pretty based.
Adam Wilson
I was 14 when Mario Sunshine came out and I recognized it as garbage back then. Unfinished, janky piece of uninspired garbage.
64, sunshine, and the galaxy series are all exceptionally good. Mario odyssey was the only one that had weak segments but was decent still.
Brody Williams
Imagine buying CDs for sountracks huehue
Leo Martin
stark contrast in how levels are designed and the lack of a hub world in 2. Galaxy 1's levels are a little more open ended with Mario Galaxy 2 having more linear levels.
Jonathan Garcia
Nintendo lumped the 3D Mario games into two groups but I think this is a more accurate way of classifying them all
preordered physical. hoping all three will be on the cart.
is it all in the cart?
Hunter Reed
Yes
Matthew Anderson
Yeah, it's all on the cart.
Christian Smith
Galaxy 2's hub world is little more than a level select. What distinguishes the "3D" games from the Galaxy games is the semi-fixed camera angle and more restrictive controls.
Ryder Lopez
>implying 64DS and Galaxy 2 aren't unlockable in the pack.
Oliver Cruz
The soundtrack part has got to be the funniest fucking aspect of the 3D All Stars. It's a fucking sound test and they have it as a selling point. >YOU CAN LISTEN TO SUPER MARIO ON THE GO Who the fuck is going to use the Switch as a MP3 player???
Jose Wright
While that is true, one of my favorite parts of Galaxy 2 was completing all the levels and watching as more and more visitors joined on Starship Mario. Do you think a middle row with Galaxy 2 and 3D World would work specifying it has both aspects of a hub world and an overworld map?
