just me? I also have a lot of trouble with this game's telegraphs. Everybody seems REALLY fast on hard and above. Like the dogs that jump and grab you. Man, I can't catch that no matter how hard I try.

No, it does happen more than once. But you should seriously know them by heart at this point.

Some cutscenes end with enemies attacking which moves straight into gameplay, they're rare but all you gotta do for them is just spam dodge at the start of those.

For the dog-like ones, you just have to keep your distance and be aware that they can do that move at any moment. They'll only do it if you're in range for it to hit, so keep that in mind.

The only cutscene telegraph that still gets me is that fucking wheel angel's intro cutscene. It fucking drops down on you from the sky off screen, if you aren't dodging the instant the cutscene ends you get hit. It always gets me at least once each time I pick up the game again. The rest give you at least a chance to react on during the actual gameplay.

Also yeah you kind of have to relearn everything on hard because the enemies get so much faster. If you can't react in a few frames just try to anticipate attacks instead and dodge around constantly like a sperg any time something moves.

Of course, playing the hardest difficulty is the correct way to play.

2bh i always found vanquish really mechanically solid and fun but stylistically its really bland and i don't think it holds up as some super deep "bayonetta of shooters" like people imply it is

It can get pretty hectic if you know what your'e doing. I think it's stylish as fuck, but not as visually original as bayonetta.
