if you're referring to pic related, you can cheese it with:
>high skill stat: reiterpallasch R1 > R1 > gunparry , which will bait the boss into attacking you right when you fire the trickweapon for massive damage on visceral attack.
>or spam charged up thrust attacks with ludwig's holy blade / charged spin to win with hunter's axe.
though it doesnt excuse the lazy boss design.

okay i figured it out. you just gotta get it into a corner while it's about to apply fire to its blade, then you can keep visceral attacking it every time it gets up, locking it into a cycle of:
>try to apply fire to the blade
>get knocked down
>get up and dodge twice
>back to step one

My vitality is at 50 and I have a rune that gives +15% health. It has one extremely quick fire attack that one-shots, and it can stunlock you with a melee attack as well as a fire attack that will kill you. There's an AOE that probably one-hits too, but I never got hit by it. How am I "dumb" for getting killed by a one-shot, exactly?
