The classic servers launch was a trainwreck. I wonder how will they handle it this time.

Just recently picked the game up again after dropping it upon hitting 60 in classic at launch after about a month or two of playing. Here are the current issues that I see
>literally nobody below level 60
>non 60 areas are ghost towns
>only way to run instances below 60 is to pay gold
>even running end game instances like ZG have a fee for joining a group
>basically unless you are in an established guild with a schedule imposed on when you are expected to play, you will not be allowed to roll on any meaningful loot and the only way to even get into a group is by paying the fee to be allowed to join
the game is solved, these problems will still exist in TBC.

you know there are private servers where you can play BC right now. plus you dont have to give blizzard any money

How would they even generate interest among people who aren't playing classic already? Classic had a lot of hype since it was basically "lost content" at that point, so replaying those pre-Cata zones had a lot of appeal to nostalgia and you could dive right in. TBC content never left in the first place, and to even participate you'd need to have a high level character.

Arcanite bars still bounce for 50g last I heard and most people who play it regularly can easily insta buy epic flying. Can't remember having that many people having it early into TBC.

LW can make an item that grants 80 haste rating (around 10% haste) for 40? seconds on use, with a 2 min cooldown. It only affects your group, but if you have several people in the group with them, they can use them in order to have the buff up permanently, now make every raid member carry them and you have a permanent world buff for your whole raid

the point is that they can skip wotlk and cata and go straight to MoPKINO

don't forget that raid rosters will be warlock and hunter heavy, no rogues allowed, maybe one arms warrior and mages might get thrown out later in the expansion. Basically no fun allowed.

Rogues have the highest potential DPS though, but it requires both glaives and ton of haste.

you must be playing on a deserted server. On Whitemane, I was patrolling elywyn and duskwood for shoeless zug scum trying to get DMF buff last night and saw a ton of genuine players, with some asking for help to kill a 56 warrior ganking them over and over.

This is exactly why I don't play MMO's. I'm not interested in grinding like an autist on a set schedule, especially for ONE game.
