Anyone else going PS5 purely because of Monster Hunter?

I can't imagine playing with scrubs on SexBox and missing out on playing with glorious nippon elite instead. Probably half my gametime hours on PS4 were just MH so that decided it for me.

Also just having the larger playerbase regardless of skill level.
Even playing on PS4 sometimes it would take me forever to get a group for a more obscure hunt I wanted to complete. I can't imagine how abysmal it would be trying to do the same thing with even lower playerbase.

Imagine being a consolecuck.

I played on xbox for MH World, and it was godawful. Thank goodness I had a friend to play through the main game's story with. I solo'd literally everything else, up through iceborne

Fuck xbox, I'm never owning one ever again. Their game store is TRASH and it is painful to browse it for months on end without a single good game to buy on there.

I'm getting a Ps5 purely because if Sony really is this doing this exclusive deal thing I wanna be a part of the glouting.
Nobody realizes the potential for Shitposting present there.

Was it bad mainly just for finding groups in multiplayer? Me and my 3 friends got it on PS4 and so I always wondered what it was like on xbox without the Jap playerbase to bolster it. I just assumed it was worse due to less players but didn't know anyone to ask about it.

It's a big reason for sure, one of my favorite games on ps4 and I'm not going to wait 6-12 months for a pc port of the next one.

There's no trouble finding people, but they're all garbage players that would feint for reasons I couldn't even count. Me and my buddy learned to just tagteam the entire game, that having two extra people was a major liability. I seriously only played a handful of times in a group without him and it was the same story.

People were dropping like flies on Kaiju Island too. Thankfully those don't affect your personal outcome on that map.

I'm going PS5 purely because they always have the absolute strongest Japanese support. Persona 5 Royal alone makes the PS4 worth it.

B-but muh censorship and gamepass

Don't repeat the mistakes of the past user

You are right OP, that does seem like an interesting game, I'll check it out right away.

Meant for

>but they're all garbage players that would feint for reasons I couldn't even count
That's like everywhere in this playerbase though, it feels 80% of the people who play this game are hot garbage at it

I never played monster hunter is this similar to any other game? is this like an mmo dmc?

Fuck no, are you retarded?

I like the long loading times, it lets me reflect on how generous and awesome sony is to me and other playstation gamers, left looks like its made for ADD zoomers lol.

Based. PCfag will never experience the soulful feature known as minute long black screen.

It's kind of hard to compare MH to other games, it's almost like it's own genre.
Gameplay aside, I'd say the most unique thing about MH is that it's an actually somewhat challenging multiplayer game.
Although hardcore MH fans complain a lot that MHW is too easy compared to the many versions before it.
For me, MH games are like the perfect storm of all elements.
>just enough gear based satisfaction
>just enough skill based
>just enough multiplayer coop
>and then with MHW very pretty graphics for monsters and environments, tons of little bells and whistles added for quality of life.

Now make a webm showing much time you spent waiting for a port and sitting through crashes

haha gottem~ pc fags are pathetic bro

Yeah I kinda did

imo this game looks really good and I would probably like it a lot, but Im not a fan of the whole

>play it for 10k hours and get kind of knowleadgeble about it and there will be still a chink with 50k hours that rapes ur boipucci online

I legit appreciate having the long load times when I'm playing with friends so I can get another drink/piss/tend to my stove etc although I admit it sucks when playing solo.

When I played with Japanese on PS4 this was either this first MonHun or they were just bad, on PC the Chinese were literal lemmings.

next MonHun is going to be on Switch made by the portable team, then we'll get the PS5/PC by World team

there's no PvP so that's not really an issue unless you get asshurt about people killing monsters faster than you

>chink with 50k hours that rapes ur boipucci online
more like rapes the monster you're both fighting
is not a PVP game

Hell yeah nigger, for the players!

Maybe try not owning a glorified toaster

Based! Piss in my mouth Sony!

I don't understand how a game you could play for """"10k"""" hours and still have things to learn and master is anything but a good thing.

Making the game more accessible was a mistake

to be honest I dont know if monster hunter is for 10k hours or only 200 hours, my point was that it looks like its a great game but I dont have the necessary commitment to get the most out of it. I poopped in this thread to see what its about because it always looked like its a cool game. I think I even had monster hunter on the psp but never got into it because was intimidated

Nah they're probably the same people who need help with snake urgent in 4U, I'm just thoroughly convinced the overwhelming majority of the monster hunter community is painfully mediocre at the games, the japanese included

dude you just got fucking shit on lmao to the point you actually typed that out

The skill cap is definitely high and I didn't enjoy it as much until I played enough to make myself git gud. This was on MH4U though on the 3DS like 3 years before MHW came out, which is more accessible to plebs.

>nips
>playing on ps5
They will be on switch lmfao.

Yeah every Japanese player I've met was no joke less than useless.

I was playing a ton for a couple years but I haven't played now since about a year ago. My thoughts on making game more accessible to plebs was always that it would be okay so long as they had end game content where they run into a wall and are forced to get good or quit out of frustration at the top end stuff. I don't know if they've managed to do that or not though since I've been out for a while.

If the combat clicks with you, you'll keep playing it from time to time since there are barely any other alternatives. Just don't forget to try out all of the weapons first.

No I'm not mentally ill, so I play it with 100 frames on PC.

Monster Hunter is so uncomfortable to play. Why do monsters just flail around like a Bloodborne boss while you have to watch your character do such slow attacks

What's crazy to me to think about is that I pretty much exclusively only ever use 2 weapon types and I've played in the thousands of hours.
I don't think there has ever been a game with better "replay value" than MHW, at least for me. People that have never played MH I think don't really understand how playing each weapon type is almost like playing a different game, and that there are 14 weapon types...
Biggest bang for my money I ever spent on a game.

so is the combat in this game about twitch reactions and rolling aroun like darksouls?

kek @ consolefags only just getting SSDs

Never heard of that until now. There are many things wrong with the game, mostly because MHW is the single worst programmed AAA of the whole generation, but crashing isn't one of them.
