Because everybody spent months shitting on what Toys For Bob did to Spyro, what activision did to Crash, and what Nintendo did to Oot and Mm. Why the fuck would anyone look at that reaction and go “I’m gonna spend more money and on this project so that nerds can get upset that shit got changed. i love leaving money on the table”
These aren’t remakes, they’re ports. It’s a new way to play these games and all the “soul” is intact. This was honestly the best outcome
