the arena looks like the place has been abandoned for ages, whereas in the original there was a focus on "keeping up appearances" even though everything went to shit.
the entire level had little wodden barricades throughout which tells you that the enemies were currently busy defending the place prior to your arrival.
the tower knight also has a crooked spear, meaning he fought many adversaries even though the slime monster is supposed to be the first defense line. the original has a shining armor and straight lance, meaning that it is rare for anyone coming this far feeding into the themeof the level, to keep people away from this place.
