Its a decent game but after you and your friends play it a bit the novelty wears off. Mafia for large groups and TTT for smaller ones are all around better balanced and more fun.

For the people saying it's bad, what alternative do we have for this type of game other than town of salem?

Most of the players have fuck all to do and nothing to work with. The game really only starts becoming fun with the last five players, Among Us involves everyone in the decision making process.

My issues with those games is there are too many roles and as a newcomer it's just daunting to try to learn it all.

You can literally pick this up and play and be alright, which is nice.

This. You fully play those other games, you have to read up on all of the classes and have to remember who does what while trying to do your own duty. It gets worse when you have to keep a diary/last will of everything. It's way too overwhelming.
