Last I checked it was basically a social network for kids. Fun game still though. Some of the new game modes were fun like the Free For All one where you duck to shoot a cannonball and everyone can do it.
Back in 2010-2012, the Zig Forumsb/r9k/ community as they called themselves on there (basically anons who stuck around even if threads were dead and made their own guilds or "tribes") were full of self-important faggots, attention whores (r9k) and underaged&s. I distinctly remember a pair of sisters (confirmed not LARPing) who were like 13/14 in the Zig Forums guild and I'm pretty sure at least one member was grooming them.
The French creators of the game were in the Zig Forums tribe even though they didn't browse Zig Forums, so it was cool, every kid begged to join if they saw you were in the same tribe. One day some autist raging NEET sperged out over a disagreement and kicked the game creator from the tribe over something extremely minor.
The Reddit community was equally, if not more cancerous and made up a lot of the jannies for the game. That's all I remember from the shitshow, hopefully most of those attention whores janny/janny-wannabe faggots have killed themselves by now.

Yeah you're correct. One Zig Forums tard got perma banned from the game and was banned on sight for posting CP. Fun fact, that user that got perma banned was actually a chubby girl.

I wanna add that despite my apparent distaste in this post, I still had a good time with the game playing with Zig Forums and it's a genuinely interesting multiplayer platformer. It could see an explosion in popularity with how much of a trend battle royales are nowadays.
Not everyone from Zig Forums was insufferable and a lot of them had excellent taste in vidya, I even talk to a couple today with the chats being fun and free from namefag/IRL drama. The aforementioned potential groomer was actually the only mod from Zig Forums and uses to let me play vidya music in the rooms for everyone through his bot, regular players couldn't do it so it was a nice privilege. Good times

Playing as a basic bitch mouse was pretty boring without walljumps, my guy. There wasn't much you could do on most maps other than wait for the shaman and hope he isn't committed to cannoning every single mouse off the map. It's kinda like rocket jumping not being intentional at first, then having it become an actual mechanic.

To be fair, walljumping worked exactly like it did in Super Metroid except with more generous timing, so it was intuitive to anyone from Zig Forums who actually knew their shit about vidya. If you got filtered by walljumping and cornerjumping then you'd get filtered by most action games and/or platformers that aren't for normies and casuals.
