i kind of feel like i've missed out on not owning any consoles all my life, but i always wanted one. i want to feel like i'm part of a "team" and be excited for every new gen and every new game announcement, speculating prices, specs, designs, possible exclusives. then there's that warm feeling of going to gamestop to pick up that new game everybody is talking about. i also find that games can be found much cheaper at retail stores, and even so there's not that many good games coming out(you're lucky if there more 2-3 interesting games released each year). paying for online sucks i understand, but maybe it's not even such a big problem if you don't play COD. and lastly the comfyness of getting home from work and settling into your sofa with the controller or even two if you have an old friend over. you just can't have any of that on PC.
i might just say fuck it and buy a ps4 to quench that feeling. i've got minimum 3 games i want to play on it and they are cheap these days too
Yes it is foolish. Being a PCfag is extremely foolish.

Why does the switch run so hot user?
Oliver Ross
If you’ve never owned a console, a Switch is of more value to you than a PS4.
Adam Bennett
Consoles were pretty magical up until PS360. Now they’re just soulless and terrible. Stick with PC.
Benjamin Morgan
bloodborne is worth it, persona 5 too if you're a weeb.
Alexander Thomas
360 was the recent only fun one, and thats mainly because of the age I was at and playing it online with my bros. Youre not part of a team or anything, its just dumbass consumerism. Switch is ok tho smash bros is fun. But the other 2 are fucking stupid in place of a PC.
Jacob Fisher
You won’t get that with the PS4 because there are no more new exclusives coming to it, and the PS5’s are largely boring. The Switch is where the hype is at + if you missed out on Nintendo, a lot of it is available on switch.
Evan Harris
Why would you want a console to play the newest verson of shoot guy every year on its rererererereremake
Camden Morales
i might get a switch too actually. but i feel like ps4 is a safer bet because 1 i always wanted one(with exception of phat OG xbox back in the day) and 2 there are some games i truly want to play. switch has some games i want to try like botw and mario odyssey but to me it's secondary option.
Josiah Ross
if you've been a pc gamer this long then you probably are not gonna be changing that now. I bought a ps4 to play bloodborne, and it was great, but thats as far as it went. now its mainly used by my parents as a netflix machine
Adrian Reed
Exactly, why play it in PS4 when you can beg for a port on PC?
Connor Campbell
it's not really about exclusives for me. it's mostly the convenience and i find that sony and nintendo have the most innovative games first. then PC may get them like a year later at full price.
Nicholas Rogers
Exaxtly i mean why play the same shootguy game when you can play wolfenstein for free on your phone?
Ethan Ross
i want to actually play bloodborbe as well. but i'm not "switching". i'll still have my PC with my steam library if i ever feel like it.
Ryan King
Have you considered suicide for being such a consoomer faggot?
Jace Cooper
You coof come over to my place and play Blunderborne together with me teehee
If you want something just fucking buy it. You don't need to overthink some convoluted reason to justify it.
>i want to feel like i'm part of a "team" It's a plastic box that lets you consume media. The "teams" are made up of children arguing on school playgrounds and the autists who never matured from that. Buying product from corporation isn't a major life decision. Holy shit.
Owen Evans
Yes. There were only meaningful console wars in three gens - the NES literally has no competition and by the 360/PS3 everything is garbage
Nathaniel Roberts
Jackie Chan
Liam Carter
Consoles are so homogenized now it doesn't matter. Even as early as 6th gen it wasn't about "being a team" so much as it was being butthurt you couldn't play "X" game without dropping another couple hundred. Silent Hill 2 and 4 on Xbox are great oh you want the middle slice cough it up gayboy.
But I still game on consoles just because I like it. But maybe its because its what I'm used too. Like you said, coming home after working 8 hours and flopping on the sofa. And yeah, I've tried all kinds of Frontends on my PC to try to duplicate the console experience but it cant be done.
Can't be. I've dedicated hundreds of hours too it. I wont beg for your setup, because I know you are bullshitting. Just like PCSX2 "runs all games perfect".
Evan Brooks
>consuming product in an attempt to gain some sense of community
just buy it if you want it, but i don't think you're gonna find what you're really looking for
Jose Reyes
if youre a working adult just buy a ps4 and whatever else you want lol theres only a few exclusive games per gen anyway so youre buying a console for 3-4 games really. if its on PC why wouldnt you want that version which is objectively better dont join a "team" please lol
Dylan Anderson
This.
Asher Clark
Linux gamers at least can use a proper HTPC UI to launch all their shit (I think KDE has the best one). Can you use a controller for metro/tablet mode on Win10 at least?
Nicholas Richardson
I love that everything is coming out on PC now and runs perfect since everything is a PC but I do miss the cool proprietary technology console manufacturers used to use its better now though
Grayson Cook
>xbox one x for current games >htpc running retroarch for emulating old pc games and console stuff up to 6th gen plus Wii and Wii U >ultrabook running linux for computer shit
it feels amazing never having to leave my comfy couch :3
