Don't.

There isn't unless the controller and game both support gyro. I don't think Xsex controllers even have gyro functionality.

It's called git gud at aiming

CoD only

Grow up and stop playing stupid click click boom games

Usually either heavy auto aiming, or just accepting that you're going to be shit at aiming. It's how I accept it, I usually just roleplay as a drunk who can't shoot worth a damn.

Gyro aiming

Whats the point of playing a shooter if the game aims the gun? Its more just quick time eventes then.

I dunno, there are games like Armored Core and stuff where there isn't any manual aiming, stuff is stuck into a lockbox, but your positioning is important, taking cover, out-maneuvering the enemy.
The assumption on PC is that the average player can aim so well with a mouse & keyboard that actually aiming at stuff isn't that important. Obviously aiming is inferior on a controller, so that bridges the gap.

By not playing at all.

there isn't one, playing an fps with a gamepad is like crippling yourself on purpose

People who play on mouse & keyboard: would you say you find aiming at stuff in a shooter at all difficult?

By getting good

This, how bad are PC players on general?
Consolefags can go from controller to m&k but PC fats are going to get shit on by average consolefags even after 6 months on a controller.

Yes, gyro
Be grateful to xbox for suppressing innovation for third gen in a row

Been playing FPS for over 25 years and I can play with a controller just fine, it is clunkier but beats finding a table to set your KBM.

Claw
I just naturally claw most of the time now

No, it's piss easy, that's why FPS on PC is all about positioning and reaction time rather than actual aiming.

PC fats also don't understand the difference between aim assist and auto aim.
Auto aim is something close to a literal aim bot.
Aim assist is different from games to games and it's up to the devs to make it weak or strong.
CoD on consoles have very strong aim assist at

You're a Halo player or copied it from there?
Claw is a fingers killer and that's why they started making controllers with back buttons/paddles.
This shit should be default on every controller but nope, big companies needs to sell them for $200+

Get raped twice and kill yourself, you retarded fucking tranny faggot sack of nigger shit with down syndrome.

so it's a conditional aimbot, gotcha

Steam controller

Have you tried not having down syndrome? Retard.

I honestly think more shooters on console should do what Armored Core does and make auto-aim more transparent/more of a gameplay mechanic.
Make the auto-aim lockbox a feature on the screen; make different equippable versions that make it lock faster but be less accurate, or be more accurate but with a narrower cone of locking.
The only non-AC game I know of which does the visible lock box is Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash, which is a shame since I think it should be more common.

In fact aim assist is most of the time very detrimental.
Let's say you sprint side to side of my PoV and i was about to headshot some fag at 300 meters, i'd miss because aim assist detected you moving in my PoV.
Also an auto aim will lock on target, aim assist even at maximum power doesn't lock you like auto/bot.
TL;DR if you're a nigger faggot troll pls an hero.

>fighting the controls
Reminds me of those lane assists in racing games that hurt you more than they help. Except you can turn them off and play just fine even on keyboard, ask me how I know, while stickfaggotry without aim assist falls apart even harder than with the "detrimental" aim assist on.

I haven't played mp FPS since 2014 but i admit that after trying to turn off the aim assist in BO1 on PS3.
It's literally day and night and you need to tryhard and lower the sensitivity to have a chance.
In single player FPSs, i usually turn it off even on maximum difficulty, given the option.

Or you could just, you know, not use directional controls and choose direct controls for aiming instead. Like mouse. Or gyro. Stick has its uses for movement but it sucks for aim.
