How did this place became one if the biggest pleb filters in gaming history? It's not so bad
How did this place became one if the biggest pleb filters in gaming history? It's not so bad
No but the water level of Metal Gear Solid 2 is.
This as well as The Library from Halo CE and Liberty Island from Deus Ex.
That place too? I recently played MGS2 a few weeks ago and that part wasn't terrible either
But why you think players struggled so much with those sections back in the day?
In the original, there was a path you could take that made the dungeon impossible to beat, because the water level was at the wrong place and you didn't have enough keys to unlock the area that raises the water to the top.
The back and forth is confusing, I used a guide the first time I played it because I didn't have time fo da shit.
The Library is one of the most fun levels.
eh reh
Eh Reh
Really? I guess I was lucky I never got into that situation, but would restarting the console, which makes link start at the entrance of the temple, fix that issue?
I thought that was for the forest temple only
Oodidaw
It has two dick-ass moments where there's a locked door that ends up leading to another locked door. Once to get to the Longshot, and then again to get to the boss key.
Basically you need to end up picking the right routes from the main area to find both small keys you need to progress, and if you fuck up and don't get both before trying the locked door, you have to go through half the dungeon to cycle the water levels again because the offshoots and the door are accessible on different levels and you don't know which ones they are.
This is untrue. People just think this because it's so easy to overlook keys and they don't think to cycle the water level again. Look at a map, there is absolutely no way to get yourself stuck.
Zoomers started digging through older material, and got culture-shocked by the fact that an implied "children's game" actually required some 3D perception skills and paying attention for once.
False. If you made that fuck up you just had to backtrack a little bit with previous water levels to get a different key to continue.
I made it more complicated, but you can never get into a state of being impossible.
It's just tedious and confusing, and you have to constantly pause and unpause to put the boots on and off (3DS fixed this)
>Muh zoomers bogeyman
People in 1998, the same year the game came out were already saying that the water temple was difficult
this is why I appreciate those 1.5k hours into dota. after that shit nothing stresses me anymore
Can someone post that 3D isometric map of the Water Temple? And maybe other dungeons too? Fucking kino
OoT was always pretty accessible, I thought. How did it become not only such a massive zoomer filter but also for NES+SNES boomers?
It's an unfair level. As a gamer with auitsm, the water temple dungeon was simply unfair. It's really hard for me to keep track of a 3-dimensional plane with mulitple variables that need to be accounted for. Unless you're a tryhard and draw a map or grind for over 10+ hours the water temple is close to impossible.
Imagine being stuck with the shit kind of autism with shitty memory and reasoning skills. Sucks to be you.
>Unless you're a tryhard and draw a map
a true autist would do that
Most people didn't catch the basement floor in the central tower.
Yeah autism sucks but I'm still high functioning. I have trouble keeping variables in track so I suck at topics like math and science but I making a living making art.
Well that's the only way I was able to keep track of where I was and where the levers were
I didn't even know until I was relatively older that there was such a thing as "dumb" autism. I really lucked out relative to the autism lottery.
Because it's a children's game and the people getting filtered were 8 years old. Congrats on being smarter than a primary schooler, user.
Autism should be helpful at visualizing 3D spaces. You might actually just be retarded.
Fuck anyone who is dumb enough to think that Mipha is a better fish waifu than princess Ruto. God, I hope she is somehow playable in the new Hyrule Warriors game coming soon.
Thinking in 3 dimensions was too much for some people
Autism comes in different forms, anons.
Alot of people miss the key thats in that center tower in the first main room that you get into a bit later. If you miss it you have to do a bunch of shit to get back and people get confused and just give up. They key is only easy to miss if you dont search entire rooms, but this is zelda so thats all you have to do
People forget to go back for the bomb wall below the first water change. I feel like a surprising ammount of people never look at the map.
Did Saria and the deku tree raise Link?
I love those things. I wish I was at my pc because I have a bunch. I use them to inspire dnd dungeons.
