I like the 299 price of that console but it's not really all that interesting to me if I were simply to upgrade my desktop's CPU/GPU. If I am simply aiming for 1080, 300 dollars worth of upgrades is far more than I need for a GPU, SSD's are dirt cheap. Hell my 1050Ti still plays most shit fine at 1080, might to to 900p if I want more frames but still looks better than consoles

you guys are overselling the 1440p thing, it can't run 60FPS on modern titles without stuttering. No way RDNA2 4tflops can deliver that. That's just them stating the max resolution it'll go to, it's a 1080p machine, especially later on in the gen when actual next gen games come out.

Big gotcha, with these consoles vs the PC comparison is that people forget consoles are all operating with dynamic resolution scaling and doing tricks with textures to make them load in right. Tons of games do it in the non pro versions, this console is going to have issues down the road where it will only operate in dynamic resolution scales only
