Does anyone care about this series?

bout fucking time

who?

Probably because it's a super Niche series that hasn't had a game in like over 25 years and most people don't even know who the fuck these characters are.

Hoping it's as good as their previous remakes.

reimu

Never heard of it. Give me a reason to care.

only touhou pedos know about this game

I love Pocky & Rocky 2 and I've used Sayo as my avatar in Groove Coaster for as long as i've been playing that game. Really really excited

I also heard about this. But do we know anything apart from the fact that it's being made by the original SNES game team (whatever that means)?

Cute Japanese Shrine Maiden beating up cute yokai.

We've had a glimpse at the art style and we know it's made by the same team that did Wild Guns Reloaded and the new Ninja Warrior game

I want to see Pocky but in a grown-up version this time.

What's a shrine maiden? What's a yokai? I don't care about any of that. Is it a game?

It means it's being made by the original SNES game team.

there are some screenshots on the official site

Don't own a Switch.

the sprites are smaller now, I wonder is the screens will be even more crowded

Jesus this is gorgeous, hell yes

That's just what marketing wants you to believe. It's been 30 years; it's not going to be more than a few guys from the original team.

Any release date?

The only reason I know about this game is through game canter cx.

Neat. Was this site published today?

Yeah, the original P&R had some issues so I'm not exactly devastated. They're not exactly Miyamoto.

I do. Was neat to hear this get announced just out of the blue like that. Game looks neat.

>made by the same team that did Wild Guns Reloaded and the new Ninja Warrior game
Instant buy if true.

Pocky & Rocky is the shit and if you haven't played this game you're a filthy and worthless casual.

Both the games were tough as hell, incredibly fun and had some of the best pixel art ever seen on the SNES. I am so excited to see the updated visuals in the new game, if it's being handled by the same guys who did the Ninja Warriors and Wild Guns remakes then it's going to be good shit.

touhou?

youtube.com/watch?v=giR0k3btl5I

It's a girl in a robe beating up colorful monsters, does that work for you user?

Zig Forums is busy hating on Pajeets and Changs to make themselves feel better about their shitty existence. Make this thread in a day or two

Is the original Kiki Kaikai worth a play still?

Same thing as the Wild Guns and Ninja Warriors remakes but both of those are fantastic. The guys from the OG team are a group of three dudes of I recall, all of which having high up roles in the development team of that time. NW Once Again is one of the best beat em ups ever.

Yup, all Tengo Project.

More likely than you think. It's known by now that Kiki KaiKai was one of the main inspirations for touhou (it's really obvious if you play the PC-98 touhou games).

>gorgeous new art yet still tastefully redone
>new routes in stage 1 already
>still pitch perfect and instantly recognizable as the old game
God I'm moist.

I don't care about gay Japanese fairy tales. What is she waving a twig around while running around in her pajamas? That's so stupid.
I'm still waiting on more news for the Cotton remake, a real man's game.

Seems par for the course for Natsume+Taito revisits.

I want a 32-bit Shatterhand though, Japan deserves a revisit of that with the Metal Hero license stripped.

>A week ago, I suggested that Pocky would get into smash instead of Reimu
>It might actually come true, now

I've there's playable Silk again, I'm there with bells on.

>Wild Guns
>Ninja Warriors
>this

I can't into Japanese IP politics, what else do these guys have that they could remake?

>Switch is a breeding ground for high-effort rereleases of & sequels to niche past classics
>no Cotton Boomerang
it hurts

Oh wow, that just looks incredible.

I am sofa king happy.
Honestly, was really worried the third remaster would turn out to be shit, but I'm really glad it P&R.

Any footage yet?

TOUHOU HIJACK LOL

What are you trying to say here?
I've grown increasingly doubtful of my ability to understand human speech over the years and your sentence is not helping that problem.

Heard there be more stuff show at the tokyo game show

die bich

Ninja Warriors and Kiki Kaikai were both originally Taito arcade games that Natsume remade from the ground up. Wild Guns is all Natsume.

There's not a lot of Natsume action titles to work with and remake when you realize most of their work was contract and license titles.

Not much. This are the three main ones, unless they remade Shatterhand and made it Shatterhand in all regions, as the original version in Japan was a licensed tie in to a Tokusatsu show.

I think I saw a few minutes of a speedrun of this game once

Absolutely, it's a tightly made action game with eye fuckingly gorgeous art and a mix of gameplay elements/mechanics you rarely see together. It's polished as fuck and if you tried it today for the first time, I guarantee it's just as good as back when it came out.

How fucking new to Zig Forums are you if you don't know what shrine maidens and yokai are

This looks like one of those fan-made high effort Pokemon mockups that should be too good to be true, but it's real

Hell yeah! Excited to give it a try.

I hope the bonus system will be reworked, "either red or blue or you reset your shots" was meh.

This is our reward for putting up with Heavenly Guardian

>Stanning a classic IP when you can't even name the characters.
youtu.be/6U43oSYgxrY?t=74

I hope we get added characters that play differently like in Wild Guns.

He's saying that if the bikini fairy is playable, then he'll be there with bells on.

I miss the fun shoot'em'ups like pic related and Twinbee. Just as the genre was set to get into its prime, Cave came along with their bullet hell games and that took over.

Guys
strawpoll.com/pqv2qdhfr

What in the world is stanning?
I'm looking forward to the eventual remake precisely because I only played Panorama Cotton and that was forever ago. I'm excited to give the remastered one a try for the first time.
Forgive me if I don't remember the names besides Cotton.

Thank you.
>be there with bells on
What does that even mean?
