A new version of the unofficial patch came out last month. Why haven't you used that as an excuse to do another playthrough?
Meanwhile, Paracucks fired Brian Mitsoda and Ka'ai Cluney out of the blue after putting 5 years of their lives into trying to make a worthy sequel to Bloodlines. So no one who worked on the original is working on the Bloodlines 2. youtube.com/watch?v=tDYXzE5U4_w
I was literally just thinking if I should go Malkavian or Nosferatu for my second playthrough. For the first one I chose Ventrue and sided with the chinese bitch cuz I wanted to fuck her AAAAAAAA
Ayden Watson
My first playthrough was as a Malkavian. 10/10 would recommend.

>Siding with her kind, after she keeps making fun of kindred, torturing and plotting to overthrow them, while being the noble leader clan no less disgusting Both malkavian and nosferatu playthroughs are very fun and unique, they are essential. Malkavian is considered the most fun so you might as well do it now and then nos sometime in the future.
James Reed
VTMB 1 was never good and 2 is going to be shit. Seethe, the concept of clans and vampires with autism or vampirs who love art is retarded.
>new version of the unofficial patch Anyone got patch notes or something?
Evan Davis
just waiting for it to go on sale on steam
Ethan Wright
>Siding with her kind Yeah, I learned my lesson pretty quick
Malkavian it is then
Jose Morgan
>the concept of clans and vampires with autism or vampirs who love art is retarded. It's hell of a lot more interesting than all vampires being literally exactly the same besides their age.
Brody Kelly
>A new version of the unofficial patch came out last month. what stupid shit did wesp add this time
Luke Rogers
not gonna lie, feeling the itch after so many years recently saw a streamer play it and the fresh experience was such a delight to see that it made me nostalgic for when i first played it kings way though...fuck that
Eli Long
I'm on my 3rd playthrough currently as a Malkavian. Anyone know if I can install plus patch mid game? I knew the GoG version was patched but forgot it was basic and not plus
Isaac Ortiz
Anyone know of any good reshades for the game? Reinstalling right now but wanted to know if there are any reshades that don't ruin the aesthetics of the base game.
Don't buy it off Steam. It's broken as fuck and no one from the team gets money off it. Pirate it off cs.rin.ru or buy it off GOG
Jacob Wright
I am not giving your shitty video views.
Connor Lee
>nosferatu >very fun Don't lie user.
Jace Jenkins
>unofficial patch Fuck that. The only patch I use is the official one that makes the game not crash when I get in the boat.
Jayden Brown
why aren't nosfes fun?
Ayden Lee
>Anyone know if I can install plus patch mid game? No it'll probably break something, you need to start a new game when you switch to a different patch.
Grayson Hughes
Its fucking hard as shit to install skin mods that's the only reason

Based Bloodlines filtering coomers

I've played this game completely unpatched with no mods and it was a better experience than trashing a game with mods. I do the samething with Bethesda games and most open-world or RPG games. Mods cause immersion breaking, more bugs, more crashes, etc. I rather play the game the Dev's intended rather than trashing their vision with a fan's headcanon and inability to respect the original creators' work
Christian Smith
Why not at least use the True Patch Gold to fix more of the random crashes? The guy who made it was completely obsessed with not changing anything except for fixing bugs so you don't have to deal with all the random changes that the Unofficial Patch adds in.
Samuel Anderson
Cause I've already done like 5 playthroughs.
Brody Williams
You have two left minimum

What's a good clan to pick if I just want to solve most quests without beating people to death? I got to the second area before and just remember quitting a bit after the warehouse or (I think Malk) the mansion and talked to the Prince a second (third)) time. I played the mage which was great for combat but not so great in terms of "don't just murder everyone"
Or do I just need to put like 10 points into persuasion
Zachary Hernandez
I started to really hate how people were releasing mods and calling them patches, it's a bit presumptuous to think that some random modder years later can perfectly continue the original work. But more games are getting purist patches that only fix obvious bugs and I don't see a downside to that. VtMB has the True Patch and then Morrowind got the Patch for Purists.
Joseph Jenkins
Malkavian is probably the best, Dementation can be used in dialogue and level 3 unlocks all the options, and it's also useful for the eventual combat. Obfuscate makes any stealth sections a breeze to get through.
After that it's mostly a tie between Toreador and Ventrue who can both start with a high Persuasion level.
Asher Barnes
this is a clear-cut case of stage 4 autism.
David Johnson
The issue is Wesp5 is literally a fucking cunt who thinks he's capable of being a game developer so he adds in what he thinks is "the vision" of mods He admitted this about 12 years ago when he got shafted over adding in the nerf to blood buff and had to do a "pure" patch alongside his "not a mod but a buffix download"
Michael Wood
probably Malkavian due to Obfuscation and Dementation. Late game is very combat heavy regardless though
Cooper Jenkins
It's one of the best though? From the unique NPC reactions to the cynical dialogue options, it's my favourite one and the most fitting the game's mood.
Angel Wilson
don't lie, user. It's very un-becoming
Chase Wood
I don't mind fighting, I meant more of a "here's the quest conversation, don't kill people" thing. Like at the start with the explosives you need, you can threaten the guy or something and he just attacks as opposed to talking your way in. Or like with the hospital you can convince her you're here from a telcom company
The 1.2 version is still trash, full of game-breaking bugs as well.
it's a nightmare to set up iirc, and last time I tried it a couple of years ago it wasn't such a stable experience either. Imo the UP is the best for stability and convenience but yeah there is some added stuff even in the basic version that shouldn't be there. Doesn't matter at this point and it's minor stuff but I wish they weren't there.
Aaron Thompson
the cop and diner lady add that little bit extra but i've never completed the game as a nossie, are there any more unique dialogues?
Thomas Gonzalez
Yeah I thought it was really egotistical to claim that he was continuing their work and almost acting like he was part of the original development team. The description for the Unofficial Patch on moddb starts off with "The Unofficial Patch is not really a mod" which is hilarious. He's been getting more and more backlash as time goes on though. Recently he made some changes to the music by changing Smaller God on the beach with some rock song that plays at the end of the radio show for some reason. Obviously that's not restoring unused content or fixing a bug, but since it even affected the basic patch people complained that it completely ruined the atmosphere there.
He's just engaging in busywork and doing stuff that he thinks will keep attention on the patch it seems. The Unofficial Patch has been in development in some form since December 2004, so it seems bizarre that after 16 years the bug fixing isn't considered "complete" still.

WET ASS PUSSY I GOT THAT WET ASS PUSSY OOOH OOOH OOH
John Richardson
Pretty much all NPCs in the game have unique reactions to you except for some vamps. In some cases it affects quests too, your appearance helping in intimidating or barring you from social solutions.
>it's a nightmare to set up iirc Yeah since Microsoft disabled the securom DRM it's a little more work to set it up. The UP is better from a technical standpoint but I don't like how the basic patch adds in random dialogue whenever you get close to an NPC, and for some reason Wesp considers adding that in as a bug fix.
I was going to try and see if I could mix some of the Unofficial Patch files for technical fixes with the rest of the True Patch to keep the game vanilla. Would be nice if it ended up working. I tried it once before and I got through most of the game with no issue but once I hit Chinatown it started to making some buildings glitch out and crash if I tried to enter them. I think I might've just missed a file or two that I needed to copy over though.
