I mean...that’s actually kinda depressing.
I mean...that’s actually kinda depressing
that can't possibly be true, absolutely delusional
It's intractable entertainment OP, the fuck did you expect
>movies aren’t interactable
Nice iq you got there
what
i know this is bait but
what
surprised those movie and music kikes haven't found a way to add microtransactions to film and music
That's been true for awhile now.
Higher Price for entry as well as more methods to continue getting revenue.
Just buy Netflix and Spotify and you're mostly good for both films and music.
That's because the movie industry actually has unions that give them a decent wage for work, while game developers are completely exploited but nobody cares.
>Netflix
Liberal propaganda
>Spotify
Ripping off artists
Why is everything terrible
if games make so much money why aren't there video game critics like there are for other forms of media?
>Ripping off artists
What do you mean?
>Peter Frampton got paid $1,700 for 55 million streams of “Baby I Love Your Way.”
They don't pay shit to their content creators
>what the fuck is revenue
I donno black mirror had a cool gimmick.
Feel free to drop out of society.
As it should, modern movies and music are garbage.
It's because movies and music don't have DLC
Video games are peak entertainment.
>what are bonus features on dvd
>what are director/alt cuts
wrong
It's weird that a medium so young produces so much money, but it does blend most other mediums.
With a single video game you can break it off into
>An art book
>An album
>A novel (if story driven)
and games weave together mediums through the uniqueness of being interactive. Games that focus too much on other mediums ultimately suffer for not showing off what makes them special, which is gameplay.
It's why people are still talking about Breath of the Wild and not the Last of Us 2 or Red Dead Redemption 2. Even Red Dead Redemption gets talked about more because it has more engaging moment to moment gameplay than it's sequel.
I don't think it's depressing at all.
PS3 controller was the perfect controller.
It's actually been true for over a decade now
makes sense for music since nobody really buys physical music media these days and new songs just get streamed through music services.
It's entirely and completely undeserved.
peak entertainment but absolutely lowest tier for telling a story. I literally can not finish a video game story, they're either incredibly fucking badly written or so repetitive that they lose all impact four hours in. Only story game I've ever finished was Catherine and it was pretty damned shit in a literary sense.
>Netflix
What are you gay? Because is full of gay shit and shitty movies.
Does he own his own music or does a label?
WRONG
VIDEOGAMES CONTAINS MUSIC, VISUALS AND STORYTELLING
SO IT'S ALL JUSTIFIED
>movies
Have to go out and see them in a cinema packed with kids and retards shouting, no potty breaks whenever you want, seating is often uncomfortable, who the fuck even buys blu-rays lol.
>music
Dirt cheap, Spotify lol.
>vidya
Cost $60 for the barebones base game, another $20-30 for DLC, is comfortable and can be played whenever you want, at home or on the go, if you want a nice cinematic experience you can do it in the comfort of your own house with all the cheap snacks and convenient potty breaks you want.
Why is it depressing if one media made more money than another? Do you have stake in this fight? Are you insecure?
>open netflix
>get lectured about black lives mattering
>first result is a section always about "amplifying black voices"
>literal genre sections for lgbt and black shit
fuck netflix
have you seen the state of movies and music right now?
Its actually worse than vidya. SOMEHOW.
No, it's not. It's never been true and probably never will be. The movie industry has notoriously dodgy book keeping and "nothing makes money", and thats on purpose to dodge taxes and having to pay out to people. The industry is fucking massive.
>wanna watch movie
>shell out 15 dollars for a ticket to a biggest newest blockbuster
>get movie on netflix
>wanna listen to music
>get music on spotify or whatever cool kids are using nowadays
>wanna play game
>OOOOOPSIE gotta buy 300 dollar DRM box
>and 60 dollars to play online multiplayer
>new games are 60 dollars a piece (soon to be 70 dolllars)
>get the dlc too, it's just 10 dollars
>season passes
>microtransactions
Why? At least it doesnt make more money than selling kids as slaves. Video games are not dead yet.
>BUT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WE NEED TO CHARGE 70US$ FOR NEXT GEN GAMES OR WE WILL GO BROKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>t.Avraham Silverstein, CEO of shitty AAA company
Fuck I hate kikes
It was funny when I checked my fandango app's purchase history. About 6 years ago the gf and I went to almost a movie a week, we had like 45 purchases, the next year it was like 30, then 10, then 3, then 0 for the last three years. The film industry is fucking dead.
>same gf for 6 years
Just marry her already
Considering movies and music have been awful for a decade+ now why is this a surprise?
Yet they're trying to push for higher priced games? Fucking kike rats.
A quick search on Yandex lets me watch 95% of everything worth watching.
I think they meant Hollywood and not the film industry. The entire international film industry dwarfs video games.
Lately movies are really shit, you get 3 or 4 at year worth watch and music industry still belive its the 80's but without the money
spotify is shit it doesn't have all the albums of a band. At least amazon has all my thrash metal albums.
What's concerning to me is the little cultural reach even some of the most popular games have. Sure people know a bit about Mario and Fortnite, but no one can name the GOTY like they can the Best Picture winner, partially because the amount of units moved is still pretty low on in comparison.
Movie theaters have $10 sodas and shit. pretty close. Just trying to jew you one more time after you already bought the product.
The past year there hasn't literally been a TV series me and my wife were interested in, except for "You" because I like his stalker shenanigans.
With the lockdown, we just decided to download old stuff we've missed in our youth, namely old X-Files, Seinfield, Sharpe and others.
Holy shit what a world of difference, they were simply better, and it's not even nostalgia, they actually cared about telling a story/jokes first rather than brainwash you or trying to be incredibly dated political vehicles.
