I don't know what the FUCK i'm doing but it feels like I'm doing it wrong
I don't know what the FUCK i'm doing but it feels like I'm doing it wrong
>you have to do ALL the side quests
T-thanks masakado
JRPGs are the epitome of "If it's not fun, why bother?"
>you have to play the game to beat it
Groundbreaking, bravo Atlus.
Are you putting points into Strength? Congratulations, you're actually doing something wrong.
SMT IV gets easier after Naraku. The game has a very skewed difficulty curve.
Level demons until they finish learning skills then fuse them. Magic > gun >>> physical in terms of build strength. Everything else you can figure out yourself.
Naraku is kicking my ass, I'm fucked
HOY
mirin his physique
GRIND NIGGA GRIND
AAAAAAAA
Do all of them for what?
During the neutral route you have to do a lot of side quests to progress the story.
Am i doing this right?
It's been a while since I played SMT4 but I think you're asking to be oneshot by the next boss.
3 in magic, 1 in agility, 1 in luck.
It took me so many fucking hours to beat SMT IV.
It was my first time playing the series. I could never tell if my party was getting stronger or not, and if fusing was a good idea. And that world map was confusing as hell - I got lost so many times just trying to follow vague directions, or I was just too stupid to understand.
shit guess i can dump into those stats for the next couple level ups?
ag is super important to focus because it controls your evade chance
>he doesn't actually play all the quests
fag
I've been pouring all my points into magic and a couple into agility. amidoinitrite?
I get on a Megami Tensei kick and there's a SMT thread. Fucking based.
Persona Q2 and Devil Survivor Overclocked are expensive as shit. Sucks.
>all my stats are between 45 to 50
>magic and strength being the highest
Did i fucked up?
Wrong. 3 Dex, 1 luck, 1 agl
Wrong, 0 Dex, 0 Agi, 0 Str, 0 Mag, 5 Luck.
For being a flagship series, SMT sure seems to lag behind Persona in terms of popularity, or at least banter and discussion. Is it just the waifu BS or am I missing something?
waifus, smt is more edgy, and is harder.
desperate weebs don't like difficulty when they can have waifus instead
Fair enough. I've only skimmed Persona games but favor SMT.
Persona appeals to normies more, not exactly shocking. Doesn't help that Persona was the only series actually on consoles for the past decade with everything else being on handheld, which isn't a big deal in Japan but is in the west unless you're Pokemon.
You actually only have to do a small subset of 20 or so side quests, many of which you've already done through normal progression in the game.
I like games that explore the personalities of the characters, so Persona gets that mark up from me. but the fatlus weebs just see rise and try to fuck their Vitas.
