It's over. Cheating scene resulted in the game's premature death.
A waste of potential, if you ask me. Hopefully Activision or EA steal the idea and make a copy with a working anti-cheating method and shove this game up the devs' ass.

The game isn't even close to dead.

Mediatonic held another beta test recently. Here's what they're adding:
>Stage variations. Loads of them. Lots of stages in the game have random alternate forms now, from small changes, to changing entire obstacles. Different segments can be mixed and matched randomly.
>From things like Dizzying Height's platforms spinning in different directions, to entire replacements like the bumpers at the end of Hit Parade being replaced with hammers. Also the bumpers in Hit Parade go all the way to the sides now.
>Goddamn Fall Mountain can even have extra moving bumpers, and extra hammers at the jump to the crown.
>Team minigames are not exempt. Fall Ball can now have swinging wreaking balls protecting the goals, and a spinning platform in the center.
>Easy Anti-Cheat is implemented as of the beta. Expect it to come out with the variants update.
Seems like this is how they intend to provide new content mid-season. Interested to see how people will react to some of them.

Yup. Didn't see it personally in my time testing, but I saw screencaps of it. They can also remove the entire 2nd set of spinners in Dizzying Heights, so you're forced into that bottom path.

Dumb nitpick but I noticed that the picture cards at the start of loading a stage are almost all from early development; Egg Scramble goals looking like frogs, the Jinxed infection being green and smoky instead of pink, Fall Ball having one standardized outfit for all players
