It's been so long that the only way I can see comeback happen is via a reboot.
1920's black & white rubberhose. KH2 did it but I fucking love this aesthetic so much.
I liked the interconnected worlds, especially the hub world, and have not seen Tooie beaten in this regard.

I was always pissed that you had to revisit every world in KH2 EXCEPT this one, which was the only one that I really liked and wished had got expanded on more

I'm content with Banjo in Smash. It's not longer painful to think about a new game, just fun. Especially with genuinely fun fangames like Jiggies of Time coming out now.
A hallowenn world thats actually halloween themed and not just spoopy shit, same goes for Freezyeezy peak. Gex did this shit right which is the sad part. and even nuts and bolts had some good world, only problem was they were ruined by the lego mechanics

A proper ruins level. Love these craps. Mayahem Temple is a similar concept, but it is not really what I want.

An Indiana Jones style world would be awesome but I don't see how you could make it distinct from Mayahem Temple. . . I mean maybe a retreading of similar concepts is fine, you can still make them vastly different, but there's no doubt it'd be another level about stone ruins in a jungle which feels a bit too samey.

Mayahem Temple is more like a open jungle world that a ruins level, or at least it seems like that. Yes, it's samey as first, but I mean a level with a aesthetic more similar to what Glitter Gulch Mine. Going actual underground, deep on the ruins. I said so because I love the stone structures and cave levels, they fits plataforming so well.
Though, I was thinking as a less-open world, and sounds more like for a linear game, like Crash, which already have them. Banjo-Kazooie levels are more open so it is not sounds great now and I see why Mayahem Temple works better.

Structured like the Hollow Earth hypothesis, with the underworld ruled by the moles as opposed to the jinjos in the surface. Puzzles require elements found both in the surface and underground versions of the same level.
Better idea: Just have Conker cameo in Threeie. Have him be confused by the fact that his voice is now just one onomatopoeia repeated over and over instead of using real words, and have him try to cuss, but get cut off or incidentally censored every time.
Maybe make him an alternate playable character like Mumbo was in Tooie.

Banjo-Kazooie but with more emphasis on new gameplay ideas.
Banjo makes a fuck ton of new friends and stuffs them in his backpack. Think Odyssey's capture mechanic or Mumbo's transformations.
Imagine a giant spider popping out of your pack and climbing you up a steep wall. a gorilla fighting for you in a 3rd person beat em up, or dolphin helping you skid across long bodies of water.

Kazooie is not a power-up to be swapped out, jackass. Making new friends is a maybe but they go in the side pockets, the main compartment is reserved for Kazooie alone.
Unless you make a point of Banjo getting some kind of super Backpack of Holding. That might work, would also tie in nicely with the collect-a-thon element. Kazooie is still the primary partner though. And would definitely complain, a lot, if other people start showing up in her space.
Here’s an idea, maybe have a new game try have a mix between the gameplay of the first two games and Nuts & Bolts.
Like an open world that you use a vehicle to traverse. Like you build a speed boat to get to the beach world or a plane to get to a sky world.
For a world idea. Why not have a the token beach world be set on a series of trees. Think Wood Zone from Sonic 2’s Beta mixed with Emerald Coast

Maybe have a mission where has a gang of racers have one of their own crash a vehicle in one part of the stage. On foot the bear and bird duo would have to rescue the dude and their mission would alter the area to make
Why not have a goldilocks esq character being the main issue in this world.
A prequel where Banjo starts out without Kazooie and gets her after a little while. Shows how they meet or whatever.
Also the villain is Hot Grunty and after her defeat it's implied she spirals into depression and basement dwells eating ice cream until she's the fat hag we know from the first game.
