Consolefag here, getting ready to finally pull the trigger on building a PC. What are some essential PC games? So far I just have my eye on Bannerlord and the witcher. Also check out my build and let me know if it looks good. I'm thinking of waiting for the rtx 3070 gpu next month but I'm not certain.
PC game recs?

New Vegas is a whole nother game with proper mods, as is any Bethesda game. Also check out Fallout 1/2.
Wait 2 weeks and get a 3070 instead.
3070 will be out of stock until next year
Wrong
>Fallout 1/2
Good recs. I've seen some screencaps and it looks right up my alley.
Will do, seems like the way to go. Everything else look good? I'm hoping to be able to play in 1440p.
Good enough for 1440. Wait until AMD drop their new cpu's in october though. They might/might not work on the b450 motherboard you have and if they're any good prices for other shit will probably come down. If you wanted to save money you could get a 3300 instead of 3600 and still do fine at 1440
Any FPS, especially a fast one
If you only played on console, you don't even know what a shooter plays like, even if you played one it's like a completely different game on console.
Right now I'm having fun in Titanfall 2 again, now that it's back from the dead thanks to the Steam release, I highly recommend it.
no I'm not

I changed the PSU to be safe with more wattage for the 3070, but you might not need to. We won't know until testers get the cards.
I changed the SSD to WD Blue because the performance difference isn't that big and you get twice the storage on it. With that being said; I'd skip the HDD and use a spare/extra one you have lying around until Christmas time because the price of RAM/SSD's are gonna be going down hard for a while and then with Black Friday/ Cyber Monday shit you can get a really good deal on a 1-2tb sata SSD.
hmm unfortunately I already bought the Ryzen 5 3600 but nothing else. Do you think the b550 will have a better shot at next gen compatibility instead of b450?
That's great to hear. I'll get into some of the Valve games finally. I've heard great things about half life. I got titanfall 2 for free on console but never bothered with it because EA. I'll give it a shot on PC though.
Thanks for the tips. I was already on the fence about the PSU. Better safe than sorry.
I have a b550 and it will support newer stuff.
Definitely looking forward to modding, what are the go to games for mods? So far I'm thinking witcher, nu resident evil, bethesda games and bannerlord. Lastly, where do I go to find these high quality mods?
That's perfect then. Thanks.

Ahhh final revision. 750 full modular is overkill, you only need about 600 and semi modular is actually easier to cable manage and you're gonna need the CPU and mobo 24pin no matter what anyway.
And I got you the B550 to be safe and ASrock is a bulletproof brand. Shill this shit later and to /g/; they might have better specifics for some of this stuff. Other than that, I never used the meshify case but have heard nothing but great stuff about it.
tiddies!!!!! TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIES TIDDIESSSSSS
Doom is the single most modded game in existence, with new stuff being actively developed to this day. It's worth playing the vanilla game too, while you're at it.
oem desktop + low profile gpu and ssd

Thanks for going all out user, I'll probably stick with this. I just have a couple more noob questions if you don't mind helping me out just a little bit more. So I've heard talks of "standoffs" and "bios flashes" and dont really know what to make of those. Also do you think the ryzens stock cooler will be sufficient?
Oh and something about gsync and freesync when talking about monitors. Will there be any comparability issues when I buy a monitor?
Fantastic rec. I've played the vanilla but I'm sure modding it will be a whole different ball game.
highly suggest project brutality to start your journey into doom modding. For custom wads I suggest if you don't know where to look check out the caccowards
For in-depth technical tips you might wanna go to /g/, not here.
To be honest, it's already a miracle you got actual responses and not a PC vs console shitstorm or a coomer thread.
Will do, thanks for all your help user. And yeah, I had more risque images of ciri but I knew the risks. One more thing though, and feel free to shut me down because I know not everyones keen about it, but I am interested in the aspect of acquiring games for free through devious means if you catch my drift. Where would I start in order to make that happen?
Grand strategy and 4x games are fun, if you're into them.
I play Total Warhammer 2 but 90% of the time I auto-resolve battles (with mods to turn off the AI cheats) because I suck at tactics and strategy
As for other games, most are available on console so it comes down to how much you're willing to spend for some improvements compared to what you might already have.
I'm going to get incredibly stoned tomorrow, what game should I play?
If you've never done it before, Fitgirl (fitgirl-repacks.site) is the go-to noob choice because it's easy and convenient.
If you wanna lurk moar you can learn more about trackers.
As for client, I personally use qbittorrent.
Also, you know this site has a board literally named "Torrents", right?
Terraria
CK2. Start at the earliest date your DLC list lets you and see how much you can conquer, starting as an Irish count, before you sober up or pass out.
These are good suggestions, but I'm going to so high that I will be barely able to function. I think I need something easy with nice looking set pieces.
Crap, yeah. I kinda forgot about it honestly. But I thought there was some other place anons got their games from because they'd show screencaps about games being "cracked" or not. Thanks for the tip though, you really have been a huge help. Stay gold user.
Also, while we're on the subject, please make sure you pirate your Windows.
If you got it for free, it's probably Win10 Home, you don't wanna use that shit, and I hope you never even considered paying a single penny for a Microsoft product.
There is a guide in /fwt/ threads on /g/ on how to do everything, from installation to activation, and you can ask questions there, too.
>Morrowind (or any other TES game)
Cheat yourself a fuck tonne of skooma, turn on god mode and wander around looking at the environment while your character is buffed from being super high
>My Summer Car
The same but just walk around drinking booze
>Audiosurf
Groove to your music with pretty colours and an easy mode.
You're probably talking about pics from crackwatch.com
That site is only good for tracking which games have been cracked and which haven't (hence the name), they don't actually link to any downloads there - in fact, it's against the rules of that site.
Russian roulette
Sorry for the late responses, I'm raiding right now. But standoffs for mobos come with the case, easy stuff. Bios flashes you probably wont have to worry about
Honey select, wasteland 2 directors cut, FTL, dragon age origins with mods, this war of mine and exotic condenser.
I just built a gaming PC last year after 8 years without one. My best experiences:
>Subnautica
>Outer Wilds
>Mount & Blade: Warband
>FTL
>Half Life 1/2/Episode 1/Episode2
>Into the Breach
>Stalker: SOC
>Doom (93 + 2016)
>Fightcade (I play old fightan games regularly)
>emulatin
>moddin (Fallout NV mostly)
Etc. etc. I know I'm forgetting stuff
>emulation
>AAA games at higher graphics settings
That's it. That's what your spending $1100 for. Nearly everything else can be played on a cheap laptop or whatever you currently have.
