Nah, Galaxy 2 will be available after March alongside the rest as part of some "Nintendo classics" line. Guessing $10 for N64 titles, $20 for GC and $30 for Wii.

It's got 150 stars total (up from 120) and a bunch of the originals stars were altered in some way

Honestly if Nintendo was the company their fans think them to be, they would include
Super Mario 64 DS for beating 64
Galaxy 2 for beating Galaxy
Super Mario 3D land for beating Sunshine

3D Land is the odd one out but then Nintendo could say, "Look! Every 3D mario game is now playable on Switch!", something theres a tiny precedent for because back in the day when the GB Player, Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition, and Links Awakening GBA port came out Nintendo proudly declared that "Every Zelda game was playable on the Gamecube!"

3D Land/World aren't actually considered "3D Mario" by Nintendo, in the same way 64, Sunshine, Galaxies, and Odyssey are.

I just unlocked Galaxy 3. You have to beat SMG, then unlock and beat Galaxy 2, then beat SM64, SMS, and SMG in a row, then play SM64 again and talk to the Toad on top of Princess Peach's castle and he'll tell you he has a "new mission in the Galaxy beyond the Mushroom Kingdom" for you, and then you'll unlock Super Mario Galaxy 3.

3d land levels should be added to the switch port of 3d world instead.

I'd rather they instead add Mario 1 through 3 and World because why the fuck not. Rename the collection to "Super Mario Celebration" or something instead of "3d all stars" which restricts the content by default (and also kinda implies the games are remakes which they aren't)

Just unlocked Sunshine 2. All you have to do is get all Shine Sprites, beat Bowser again and then get Yoshi to the small island in Delfino Plaza again.
