It should’ve been 64, sunshine and galaxy 2.
Josiah Stewart
>Mario 64 DS

lol
Austin Kelly
Sunshine alone is better than all 3 of these put together. (also still the only reason to but the other pack either)
Josiah Hernandez
>a shitty bingbing version of Crash
>a terribly botched port with unplayable controls and soulless art
>a linear and brainless 3d mario
nah
Michael Foster
Other than DS having shit controls for it, it's a damn good port.
Nathaniel Brown
having shit controls is kind of a big deal on a 3D platformer
Adrian Jenkins
I agree with you, sorta. I like them all though.
Charles Fisher
>that image
Heh, cute (unintentional?) nod to Maker with the pigeon.
Colton Rogers
exactly, so a Switch port with good controls would be perfect
Jason Walker
SM64 >>>> SM64DS
Galaxy 1 > Galaxy 2
3D World > 3D Land
Sebastian Bailey
DS is shit though and not just because of the controls. Mario's abilities were split to justify each character resulting in more tedium, the extra stars are shit, and the new areas lackluster. It took a solid title, and bloated it. Now if they took Mario 64, and added the DS characters, let them use the same caps as Mario, with their own abilities for fun that you can use solo or in a co-op mode then you'd have an argument.
Brayden Lopez

The new content was shit
The new textures were shit
Mandatory use of Yoshi until you unlock Mario is shit
The extra characters were shit
The touchscreen minigames were cool
Isaiah Wood
>3D land
>better than anything
3D land is the most soulless Mario game EVER. EVERY SINGLE FUCKING LEVEL is brainlet tier, every fucking stage is samey and uninspired. Galaxy 2 is coming but Sunshine 64 and galaxy are the best choices if it could ONLY be 3
Gabriel Adams
>Port
Jason Adams
Luigi was cool to use though.
Dominic Fisher
Not OP but I began gaming with Super Mario 64 at 6 years old. Just because I'm fond of it per association it doesn't mean I treat it, or Sunshine, as flawless masterpieces. I adore them well enough, but far as I'm concerned, Galaxy 2 is the best 3D Mario by a mile.
Justin Campbell
>see literally no one care about the DS remake the entire decade I’ve been on Zig Forums
>suddenly contrarians come out of the woodwork to suck its cock
Matthew Lee
DS remake is shit in its released form, but it wouldn't take much to fix it into a neat companion piece to the original 64. Fixing the controls alone would go a long way. Have it so the switching is optional instead of mandatory (so everyone can use all Power-ups) and voilá.
Gabriel Campbell
why do none of you ass badgers not realize the ds version ported to a modern system would play well by having analog controls?
Are you just intentionally retarded?
Brayden Martinez
It started when 64 was successfully ported to the 3DS
Austin Taylor
>muh analog
It isn’t even that bad you retards, I’ve played both and while I still would prefer N64, I wouldn’t mind the D-pad
Jonathan Gomez
I thought Zig Forums loved 3d land, what happened?
Connor Walker
or how about all 6? and remastered? and not a limited digital release?
...
no? only 3? not remastered? just copy and pasted on the switch? with a limited digital release?
>Nintendo and Sony running their reputations into the ground
>meanwhile Xbox is just like
Nathan Wilson
What is it with these fucking zoomers wanting SM64DS? I bought the game at launch and it was shit.
Tyler Baker
>Galaxy 1 > Galaxy 2
That really comes down to whether you prefer sandbox or linear. I prefer the linear, obstacle course format personally so I prefer 2.
Carter Ross
Good controls can only fix so much when Wario still sucks shit to play as.
Nicholas Richardson
Why do people like mario galaxy so much, is it nostalgia goggles?
