I just started levelling again, having a good time. The game is still a very good MMO. Everyone I’ve encountered so far has been friendly and happy to play together. People STILL helping each other out after all these years, when in FF14 you can play for months without talking to another human. Fuck you guys, classic is literally the only MMO that’s still actually an MMO, and you all know it.

Furthermore, I would encourage everyone who was thinking about playing it, to actually play it now. This is the last chance you will ever get to play an MMO that was designed around the world feeling like a cohesive place, where grouping matters and the developers actually made the game because they wanted to make something good, not a focus tested boring piece of shit where everything is homogenous and none of your decisions matter. There will never ever be another MMO made with these design decisions. I’m not even memeing, this is literally your last chance to play an MMO like this again, because no one is ever going to make these decisions again, simply because they don’t test well with modern age zoomers.

The game being easy is exactly the reason why people minmax.
If you join a guild that just wants to farm content and nothing more, then everyone is going to get very bored very quickly because the content is so easy.
Most guilds try to speedrun to some degree because it actually gives them a challenge.

Solved game and it wasn't the savior that would bring about social interaction that everyone was expecting since everyone defaulted back to not talking after the first month.
