The final boss was the boat ride, not Bowser. They're going to rename Corona Mountain.
>The final boss was the boat ride, not Bowsed
This, even though the boat ride is still an easy final boss.
It's me again but I just remembered the final boss of Galaxy 2 was actually worse than this and you finish it so quickly that the amazing music track for it doesn't even have time to kick in. The easiest/worst final boss in all vidya that I've played is Cortex in Crash 2, though. What the fuck were they thinking?
What would they switch it to? Crown Mountain? Mount Coronet?
Both sound like names they could comically splice out of existing FLUDD voice files.
WuFlu Mountain
Chinkdisease Mountain is a horrible new title for it!
Jesus fucking christ really? Spoiler alert this you fucking cocksucker. Not sure it's even worth getting all stars now. UGHH
Why is the water green? Is it acid? Poison? Gelatin?
Fuck that boat.
Bowser's pee
mario final bosses are always easy though, sunshine is still goated.
i didnt like that the final boss was all about le epic gimmick nozzle though
In fairness, is there any 3d mario final boss that actually poses a challenge?
Actually, does any Mario boss ever pose a challenge?
Every single "boss" in galaxy is easier than bathtime bowser.
And Sunshine makes up for it by giving us that epic fight with petey which takes place across the whole level.
MARIO. HOW DARE YOU DISTURB MY FAMILY VACATION?
look at this dumb fucking faggot sad about spoilers in a 2002 gamecube mario game. fuck you, you stupid ass retard bitch
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
Just imagine, if you will, a final boss for sunshine where you're able to freely choose between all 4 types of nozzle for fludd, and you have to use all of them to navigate the challenge of the boss.
And then, once you defeat the boss, you unlock this model of fludd where you can have access to all 4 types at all times?
Would make the final boss a lot more fun and make the post-end game a lot more satisfying.
Surely it isn't difficult to implement that?
I understand why they're changing Corona Mountain, but going with SARS Harbor seems like a step backward
Once you figured out how to actually defeat it, yeah. Nothing's telegraphed to the player.
I can't believe they've renamed the Noki as the Niga myself.
And I think calling it "George Fludd" is a little too on the nose, personally.
Voice acting so bad that they didn't use it in the games again for almost 2 decades, and Bowser still speaks a Huttese-style language of his own (which, to be fair, is pretty cool, and makes him feel like an ancient creature).
The canned Mario Kart 64 Bowser roar makes me laugh every time. I believe it was originally sampled from a B-movie about dinosaurs or something.
>George Fludd
This?

Yep
This. First time actually had to replay it a few times because I would just endlessly run from the bullet bills and didn’t know what to do.
Dixie Mountain
I got the game early because I manage a Gamestop and who's going to tell me no? One of the Pianta cops breaks George Fludd by stepping on its 'neck' and the game is much, much harder without it.
True but they at least tend to be cinematic/climactic and have a great build up.
Alright, I have to ask
Are they really changing absolutely nothing about these games for this reissue?
On the one hand, it seems very cheap, but on the other hand I can definitely respect them for their commitment. Imagine how shitty Mario 64 would be with hints all around the levels telling you exactly how to get the star. And imagine how shitty Sunshine would be if it didn't have the genuine difficulty in some of the levels, forcing you to really master the fludd mechanics. The fact they're staying true to the original games is honestly grand.
I don't even own a switch btw, but I think I'm going to replay SM64 on my N64 right now.
No. IT seems like the actual Mario team is focusing their efforts on that 3D World Port sine it seems to have a lot of significant changes.
>Go to give Blue Coins to the Riccos
>They're completely gone
>You find their dead bodies in the weird secret level on that ridge above the cannon
Corona mountain? Good lord! Reminds me of that horrible tragedy
Yeah, I'm not exactly disagreeing with you, although it does always feel weird when numerous bosses in the game have been more challenging than the final boss, who's supposed to be the most powerful enemy in the game.
Never played any of the 3d world mario games, they always looked as if they brought the worst aspects of 2d mario and 3d mario together into one shitty, linear, easy game for casuals to play as a family. Maybe I'm wrong.
>George Fludd
To be fair, Bowser was literally in a sauna. You aren't ready to fight when you're caught in a sauna, especially one you can't even crawl out of because there's nothing around the tub and you decided to be fuckhuge today.
Based Norm poster
They picked a weird time to make Bowser as large as he's ever been in a mainline game until Galaxy 2, considering the plot hinged on the idea that he fathered a son with Peach, who fits in his hand here.
3D World is a lot of fun. This new version is adding a lot of improvements, like increasing the game speed by like 30%, online multiplayer adding Odyssey movement options and some Bowser's Fury mode we don't really know about. As long as you don't go in expecting sandbox style gameplay like Sunshine/64, its a great game.
why was bowser so big in this bathtub cutscene but so small later on in the final cutscene with bowser jr? does the green goo make him grow?
Lol
Odyssey movement options? What exactly do you mean? And 30% faster?... I feel like I missed something
Bowser's size has always been extremely inconsistent. Hes gigantic in boss battles but during normal interactions hes only a few heads taller than Mario.
>final boss
>easiest
Ahem

Compared to the original, the game speed is a lot faster. They added moves that weren't possible in the original like the dive.
