You kind of need a memory card to hack it so you can install Henkaku OR Enzo, so you can put VitaShell on it on an SD card via an adapter that goes into the cartridge slot, which you need to download crap onto it, so you can get up to 256 GB, as well as get it to run unauthorized software.

The good thing is, Sony doesn't give two shits if you hack it. They never banned anyone for a hacked Vita. All they do is update the security, to access the store, but a simple DNS address can ensure that the system is never hacked, and you can simply spoof the version to go on PSN. Just don't do anything stupid if you end up getting one (such as playing unofficial emulators while being online).

As much as I enjoy the Switch, there was always something about Nintendo having both a separate console and handheld. Now, since they're both consolidated into one system, it means far fewer games, endless ports from the previous system, and it appears that if the hybrid system approach doesn't last, then Nintendo would be doomed as they would not have a second system to fall back on.

Sony should also make a new portable system, which would be fully backwards compatible with the PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS Vita.

Not unless you have them via PSN. Any game you got for free from PSN are still valid, but Sony abandoned free games on that years ago (and I would need to buy them all if PSN ever shuts down on the system or risk losing them permanently).

All PS1 and PSP games can take advantage of the touch screen and right analog stick.
