I like all 3 for different reasons

I like them all
But I like gears best

NOT EVEN A DISTANT LAND WE STUCK ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT PLANET.

I never played any but shirtless Shulk is pretty sexy in Smash

x redux when?

X is the only one the holds up on virtue of its gameplay. 1 was good while it lasted but isn't nearly as fun the second time. 2 is mostly an utter abortion.

xenoblade 2 is the most annoying game to play ever
i honestly dread when i get into combat with regular enemies because they just take so long to kill even when using all of the mechanics and having to navigate through a million menus to get things done on top of the blade gacha system, jesus christ what a mess

X is a masterpiece.

I love all 3 but god ive been carving for an X remake since I saw how good both 1 remake and 2 look

Just play in 4K with cemu

Why argue when the truth is right here?

I cant my graphics card burned from a short circuit on the motherboard so my current Graphics card is a weakling with no power to run that
I also sold my Wii U but havent managed to sell my special edition so its just insult to injury

God I just want a sequel for X’s story, there are just too many loose ends that need to be answered, too bad we probably won’t see it for a while because it only sold 1 million on Wii U and can’t be ported to the Switch

2 does almost nothing better than 1 and x, has some of the most annoying gameplay restrictions and gimmicks, and will usually have me lose a cutscene even after I win a battle. And yet I still love it more than the other two.

All game would improve if you could pilot gyant robots in them.

>and will usually have me lose a cutscene
It doesn't it more than 1.

I'm more of an X guy but I respect XC1.

I respect Torna XC2 too but XC2 I have the most issues with. So much annoying shit in that game and I liked none of the characters.

I dont know how anyone can defend the gatchashit, or the limited resourced used to switch blades on characters, or the no armor changing, or the field skills shit, or blades being done by different artists and having almost no real unifying design sensibility. But muh waifus I guess.

honestly why did they have turn this franchise into anime girl riddled toxic waste instead of following the same formula that worked for xc1

>the limited resourced used to switch blades
>he didn't know to get protocols

Because it was already that, except back when XC1 was new it was more obscure and since being hipster was a thing people just glossed it over pretending they have a clue about what the game was about.

1 > 2 > X

2>1
Haven't gotten past the introduction in X yet but I'm sure 2 is better
DE really shined a light on 1's swappable armor and shown that it isn't too different in that department

I'm still waiting for Xenogears 2 mother fuckers

just port X to switch already

And you should be telling that to SE but eww

Got a copy of XC1DE coming in the mail soon, what should I expect?
I've only played XC2 and Torna.

terrible side quests, an inconsistent plot with some really high highs and some really low lows, a main cast that are completely uninteresting, big areas that are more artistically impressive than xc2, combat that is simple but not a complete clusterfuck that takes over half the game to open up like xc2

1 is a simply good experience. There's not much wrong with it but there's also not much that makes it truly exceptional.

X bites off more than it can chew, mostly to its own detriment but also brings a lot to the table in terms of gameplay. I enjoy it the most because the world they made was immaculately created and I can have fun doing literally nothing just running over it. A lot of strange game design decisions that should have probably been looked at a little harder before release, like sound design and direction during cutscenes (not the ost itself, thats mostly fine), the borderline sensory overload UI, the font size for everything, and the lack of explanation for how truly deep the combat gets. The best 7/10 you'll ever play. A remaster that simply touches up those design choices bump it up to an easy 8

2 is a prime example of 'it gets good 60 hours in', because before that its a Mystery Box of inconsistency until the last 3 chapters or so. Chapters 1 and 2 are fine for setup, 3 gets into more stuff with a great climax to really get you into it, then it was determined that you might be having too much fun so the pace slows to a crawl for the next 2 and a half chapters. Honestly, if it werent for the fact that the last chunk of the game is genuinely great I'd rate it a 5/10 since it takes abhorrently long to actually get going. As it is its probably a strong 6 or a weak 7.

Torna however, is an almost perfect experience. Better combat system than the base game, QoL fixes on some of the trash bits of the base game, characters that are easy to give a shit about, maybe because they're already established somewhat. Overall just very solid. If it werent for the sidequests gating main story progression at points I would give it a 10, but as thats really its only flaw it gets a 9.
