September 2020... I am forgotten

I fell for the meme and purchased it on PC. I could barely play 2 missions before getting bored. It took me 3 months to slog through the half way point. I was playing a mission that had me doing the last of us forced slow walk through a mansion for the Italian guy, and I just uninstalled the game because I could not take it anymore.

i didnt forget

I'm saving the epilogue for when I get a new 30-series card so I can turn up the graphics even further before switching over to try out the RDO.

the longer you wait to grind RDO, the longer the grind is going to be. they already nerfed the fuck out of one role.

rip I don't know if it'll end up being something I sink a ton of time into anyways. I'm currently enjoying other games and I'm sure RPGs like CP2077 will have me replaying for a while. I might never end up playing RDO.

I still think about this game every other day
Red Dead 1 has the better story but Red Dead 2 has the better gameplay and mechanics imo

Its a well polished pile of turds

Gameplay? I've tried it and I couldn't notice any so called gameplay unless you mean watching cut scenes, following people around and talking to them and nothing going on. Yes great gameplay.

if you have a life, RDO is fun with some friends etc. if you have no life, RDO will be your new job.

>September 2020..I a-COOOF COOF COOF COOF COUGH COUGH COUGH

Pre-ordered it on PC, played on and off since launch, did pretty much everything there is to do (sitting at 94.4% completion with 132 hours clocked in) and played 179 hours of RDO. I have like 5 missions left off the main quest (last one was with Sadie in Rhodes) and at this point I feel I might as well finish the game the 5th of November so it's like pottery and a full year since its PC release.

Accidently steer from Rockstar's script
100 BOUNTY HERE COMES 100 LAWMEN FOR YOU AT ONCE

I work 8 to 9 hours a day and don't play with friends. I enjoyed the campaign and no lifing that for a few months on a completionist run, but idk how RDO is or if something similar would be doable. I know it has some sort of online campaign, so I was hoping that'd be at least enjoyable to kill a few weeks/months with.

it's ok to kill time but no matter what
DO NOT BUY FUCKING GOLD BARS.
the online is made for someone like you (has a life/works) to spend your hard earned money.

I heard if you played it religiously and did all the dailies/weeklies (which I imagine is a chore) you could get enough gold over time to pay for those roles. R* are real cunts about their pricing structure and trying to get you to spend real money, though, so I'm not sure how true that still is.

broahs....

It was a fantastic game, probably one of the best of the 2010’s in my opinion.
I don’t want to replay the story anytime soon because of how sad it made me though, watching the gang drift apart and Arthur slowly die from a horrible disease was pretty rough.

Fuck I wish Rockstar would just make single player DLC for it instead of half-assedly giving weak updates to their failed cash cow RDO, it’s a shame how far the company’s fallen since GTA V came out though I’m glad they had this one last masterpiece.

the fuck are you on about? You play RDO for 2 weeks and you can literally get everything you could ever want. Dailly challenges streak rewards you with insane gold
and its not like theres much to spend money on anyway lol

>better story

I’ll never understand this opinion, RDR’s story is just going from stranger to stranger doing various sidetasks so you can just maybe finally get a lead on Bill and later Javier for 2/3s of the game, storywise the only moments that I remember is the horseride into Mexico, the horseride back home, and then John’s death/Jack’s revenge. I’m not saying it’s bad, it’s just pretty simple and basic. RDR2 just had so many more memorable moments all around in every way

>You play RDO for 2 weeks and you can literally get everything you could ever want.
add up the gold cost of the roles. who the fuck are you trying to fool? oh, and collector is RNG now LMAO.

Play Hunt: Showdown if you want real entertaining Western gunplay instead of this GTA clone movie.

Fuck the gambler challenges

Yeah, trying to do those put me off from completing the other challenges (although some are just annoying 'rehunt everything even if you've already hunted it before' shit).

The challenges aren't even that fun, most of them are just tedious, like steal 7 coaches or kill 3 vultures with a tomahawk

the train robbing ones are lol.
just get on one and take a can of beans from the rear rail cars.

Wait, you could do that? I just robbed one person and ran straight out

The luck you need for the blackjack one is absurdly stupid and the dominoes one is idiotic even when you know how to preserve the streak (Quit on your turn without placing a tile if you're going to lose in the next turn).

yeah it counts as robbing them.
i wanted to knock it out fast and that was the quickest rinse/repeat.

You are forgotten OP.

I'm stuck on the blackjack with 3 hits challenge, no clue how I slogged through that one on PS4. If could, I would shamelessly cheat on the challenge
