I ask if he enjoys assfucking.
If he does we exchange numbers.

>Guy with no Blight Res joins your hunt

>Guy with greatsword joins your hunt
>He slows the entire party down
Fuck off anyone not using a longsword

>"safi blast weapon shitter joins the hunt"
>"messes up a wall bang"
>"carts twice"
>"leaves"
I generally don't wish death upon people, but i was really close to

all you need is dragon res

*outdamages you using safi, carts to revolution and felyne insurance kicks in, goes back in and kills alatreon*

Realistically what would you say are the top skills to have for that fight?

seethe faggot

Sure, if you can keep up with the debuff. Every time there's a random that got any kind of blight, they are the ones that will die the most in my experiences though.

>Guy with no astera jerky dies in 10 sec during a weak nova
It's been a month how can nobody know what you fucking have to do

>not abusing the fuck out of coalescence
shiggy

Gotta babysit them with Health Booster, user

Dude, you still have people joining in with no elemental weapons, they don't learn. As much as i hate certain aspects of the fight, the retardation of a lot of player is inexcusable.

Tell that to the randumbs. Personally I know I'm trash so I prefer to play things safe.

>Blight res or dragon res
>Elemental res for whatever is the weakest for your armor
>Elemental damage boost
>Evade extender
>Free meal

Hammer > the sun > elemental damage

Thunderblight is a death sentence if you arent perfect at the fight

Just max your Ice/Fire damage depending on the quest. Ice if you're still on the Special Assignment. Dragon Res so you can keep dishing out elemental damage.
Also Blight Res or Coalescence.

Coalescence baby

>the retardation of a lot of player is inexcusable.
This is pretty much the reason the fight is so awful. I've gotten to the point that I can fuck him up and force around 6-7 novas without insurance (still can't kill him yet, but getting there) but any time I try getting randos it's just painful, I've seen dudes go in with Dragon, Thunder and worst of all Lightbreak weapons. I wan't to think it's just the scrubs who've finally gotten this far but even then you'd think they'd have looked the fight up before shitting up other people's quests

Why do people even do this fight after the special assignment? Alatreon's gear is fucking garbage and I doubt it will be a MUST have for the fatty fight

>. I wan't to think it's just the scrubs who've finally gotten this far but even then you'd think they'd have looked the fight up before shitting up other people's quests
Just look at the rank of these fuckers some of them are like HR500 and MR300 or some shit

As long as you don't cart

I just started iceborne after not playing for over a year and forgetting literally everything despite having 100+ hunts on each weapon. What the fuck do I do?

Train with Barioth

Just do it solo. He's much, much easier solo and cats are more helpful than most randoms. Revival cat practically a free pass on one judgement if you're bad enough to fuck up. Pair that with the free Safeguard you get from the event meal and you can brute force him to death even without de-powering him once.

IS BLAST AN ELEMENT?

Attached: 1580007979606.png (440x440, 197.42K)

What do you mean what do you do? Just follow the assigned quests and if a monster starts kicking your ass build better gear and git gud

It's a challenging, fun fight, his weapon skins look cool, and maybe people just want to collect armors and weapons?

all of his electric attacks are easily avoidable. IF you do get hit just chug a nulberry

>HR500 and MR300
Those could be people who ground in the guiding lands without doing the later assignments or cheaters on PC

Then stop complaining about randoms and get a team or do it solo if you're doing it for the challenge

It's a status effect ya pillock

Health Boost
Blight Res
Ele Crit
(Insert Fire or Ice attack here) up
Crit eye
Agitator/WEXplot/MaxMight depending on your weapon
Weapon specific skills (like Physique for DBs or Bow)

>I doubt it will be a MUST have for the fatty fight
You just know they're going to give him some retarded dragon DPS check or something

BUT I HAVE BLAST ATTACK 4

>not even 400 hunts

>Revival cat practically a free pass on one judgement if you're bad enough to fuck up
I thought about doing this but it doesn't work because the cat dies to judgment too

>Dude who has no magic abilities at all but can make rockets out of bottles joins your team

>Just do it solo
I've been trying to. I've gotten the general flow down and can make it to around 7 novas but I haven't found the trick to dealing enough damage with the LS to kill him, I think I'm hitting his ass too much and not helm splitting while he's down

I gave up and modded in all decos and the game is so much better now.

Fucking Ryozo

>complaining
I've already done it solo without dying (took me 17 minutes, but I still did it), with randoms, and with a coordinated team of friends. Don't know what kind of imaginary antagonist you're beating up in your head there, schizo.

i've heard alatreon in world is ruined, haven't fought him yet since i wiped my drives but is it true?

He took me about 30 minutes with the LS solo each time I did it. Really I think you just need more elemental damage for more staggers.

Blast Attack also works on barrel bombs. It just raises the flat damage of explosions you generate.

>Revival cat practically a free pass on one judgement if you're bad enough to fuck up
It doesn't work I still cart when the I get to the third nova

Hit its forelegs and head more, they are good elemental zones

The fight itself is way way better. Only the DPS check can "ruin" your experience if you're bad.

Best Wide 7 Gunlance
Best Ele LBG
Best non-Kjarr Dragon weapons for all types (debatable)
Good armor skills for various weapons

AAAAHHHHHH
GOTTA BLAST

>Don't know what kind of imaginary antagonist you're beating up in your head there, schizo
This thread was made to bitch and moan about randoms shitting up your quest, I'm not targeting you specifically dumbass

I wanna win against this piece of shit with Gunlance but how is that even possible? My best weapon against this thing is Hunting Horn

Attached: 1592204909155.jpg (542x348, 18.64K)

Its attacks are great (distinct tells, tight hitboxes, hits hard but still pretty fair) but the Escaton Judgement mechanics feels too rigid.
This is a Worldbab's opinion tho.

Kek, is that a mod or a special quest?

>I think you just need more elemental damage for more staggers.
I'm using the Frost Fang LS and have 870 elemental, I do about 110 with a crit draw and 100-90 regular hit on his arms and about 10-20 more each on his head

The fight is pretty good but the DPS check was a completely unnecessary addition that drags the whole thing down

DOES WORLD HAVE A LONG 7 LANCE YET?

The fight itself is fun but the nova is worse than luna's. Here's the gimmick. You have to bring in an elemental weapon and do elemental damage to him, after you reach a threshold he has a special topple animation which weakens his nova to being survivable. Oh and don't think of bringing anything other than ice and fire element, the hitzone values for the others are dog shit.

Sometimes you gotta adapt, I main CB but I ain't gonna bring it to fight Rajang

If I can do it in 30 minutes with 3 carts, so can you user

You can't have forgotten everything, just do a bunch of MR expeditions in familiar territory and work the rust off your muscle memory with whatever sets you had thrown together for HR.

>7 novas and still not dead
Jesus, how are you doing enough elemental damage each round, but not doing enough damage to kill him? Not shittalking, it's legitimately baffling. Head and forelimbs are the only places you should be aiming, practically everywhere else is a shitzone. Hindlegs only if you have nowhere better to hit and need to get the last spirit slash off. From my experience with LS runs, this guy runs around too much to snipe the head with helmbreaker while he's not either staggered or KO's. Thankfully, you can make plenty of opportunities for yourself.
>He's flying and not raged? Floor-bang him
>He's near a (fucking tiny) wall and not raged? Wall-bang him
>Elemental KO's = BIG openings
If you bring a Palico that's at least one para/ sleep right there. Sleep bombing isn't worth it, but if you happen to have red meter, that's a free helmbreaker right there. Also, if you're on your last death, you might as well just ditch element, go full damage, and try to kill him through DPS alone.

Try to get crit element from velkana set, that's 30% more elemental damage on a crit
