Fun fact: Crash Bandicoot was a ripoff of Sonic from the very beginning, the devs called it the Sonic's Ass Game early in development because the concept was to show Sonic in 3D from behind

Aldo fun fact: You are gay

Except the rail grinding in Crash is clearly ripping off ratchet and clank's style more than anything (auto scrolling/focus on timed jumps).

Also fun fact any crash is better than any 3d sonic

Fun fact: you're wrong

>the "best" 3D Sonic games have dogshit physics >every 3D Sonic game combined has a total of maybe ten decent levels
That's not a high bar to pass, user.

>devs called it the Sonic's Ass Game early in development because the concept was to show Sonic in 3D from behind
Gavin mentioned they had to call it that way because their investors at universal didn’t understand a thing about games. Sonic plays nothing like crash

Wrong again.

I'm pretty sure the wall run is a little bit older than Sonic Lost World. I'm feeling Prince of Persia vibes instead.

You know nothing.
Crash was much more inspired by Donkey Kong Country.
Stop speaking about stuff you know nothing about.

Never played crash more than a few minutes, but it definitely gives off a ton of dkc vibes

Still mad Sonic Team didn't double down on Sonics new toolkit and went back to butchering the boost gameplay.

Is Sonic unironically held back because he is too fast?

Chad Bandicoot wins again

Fucking hell, I hate zoomers.

Here's an interview given by the creator himself, Andy Gavin, where he literally states what OP said, you absolute mouth-breathing, oxygen-stealing retard.

>Yoshi’s Island
>massive ode to 2D action
Wat

Crash and Sonic were never good

Is there really a Sonic Forces/Lost World defense force now?

Crash 1 is the only good game out of the Crash franchise

There is actually no good crash games though. There are a handful of good sonic games. I would struggle to call even the best crash games more than tolerable at best. They always felt like low grade shovelware knock offs from whatever sega and nintendo had cooking up.

>He took everything from him and made it actually good, that bastard.

What a strange opinion

Forcing yourself to be a contrarian does that to some people.

>wonders how sonic would play in 3d
>hires sonic 2's developer to work in your sonic-inspired game
>"g-guys, the game isn't inspired by sonic, it's inspired by donkey kong country, i swear"

It's very simple but a very good platformer, the game is tough but fair and the level design is solid. The sequels relies too much on gimmicks, recycled levels and vehicle levels which shows that they failed to understand what makes a platformer great. Crash 1 has less quantity but more quality.

Not really. Sonic adventure 2 had better rail grinding and wall running mechanics. In Crash 4 they seem pretty automated.

memes aside is crash better than sonic? Grew up with sonic but no longer play those games for obvious reasons. Is the Crash series better? I actually really like his design in crash 4

>"how dare you have an opinion, you must be a contrarian!"
fuck off

No, there is like 3 crash games worth playing and the third one is kind of meh, i also don't like the second one but people really seems to love that game to death.

The important difference is that it's looking to be an actual halfway decent game.

Well considering they're essentially rebooting the continuity or whatever i was only gonna bother with the remake trilogy and crash 4. So it sounds like the first 2 games might be fun and the third might be lame. 2/3 aint too bad

>Sonic only had 3-4 good games
>Crash only had 3-4 good games
Eh.
I guess you can argue Crash is better because his shitty games aren't nearly as shit as Sonic at his worst.

>Well considering they're essentially rebooting the continuity or whatever
Nope, it's a mid-sequel with the later games simply not happening yet or part of a multiverse.

Yes, it's a pretty good deal, but keep in mind they're all very simple and can feel somewhat dated, even if it's a remake.
