No but I use it for shit besides just instantly launching a game. I have to navigate it and how appealing it is influences my mood and opinion of the console as a whole. Do you launch games and never navigate the menu, just picking the first option in front of you? This is why people remember the Wii and 3DS fondly.

No, the music from the Wii and 3DS are always brought up as shit people liked about them. The Mii shop music is iconic and still referenced to this day, and pretty much every 3DS/eshop thread has someone saying they miss the shop music.
