Your time is up Mario. The era of Zelda is upon us
Hopefully botw2 will be an improvement. Personally I would love if they replaced shrines with overworld mini dungeons/puzzles like eventide island (I think that's what it's called) and have traditional dungeons.
His time It's up.
There's a lot, and I mean A LOT to improve on....BotW was seriously undercooked.
people forget that most of the Shrine Quests were some kind of overworld puzzle/task and the shrine itself was a way to tie them under a unifying moniker
Zelda still gets like one spinoff every couple years and one main game every four with some remasters/remakes in the meantime while Mario gets a billion main games and spinoffs. It's a much easier franchise to develop.
this is a good thing
Miyamoto owns both Zelda and Mario
>Rain makes you slip
>Music is too subtle in important areas like the temple of time
>Weapon durability is shit
What other issues do you have with the game that you'd like to see fixed?
They also pretend at the same time that 95% of sidequests in the previous games couldn't be described exactly the same way through their rewards as heart pieces or useless rupees.
>most
no, most of them were accessible without any sort of thinking
unless you count shit like noticing a simple irregularity as a "puzzle/task" I guess
I strongly disagree, the game isn't undercooked at all, it settles a lot of things but it's not ready to completely exploit every single one because they needed to see how the fans react, what do we like and what do we hate. BotW2 won't have excuses tho, BotW has been extremely praised but some stuff is also very criticized (see weapons durability) so they really need to keep and expand the best part of the original game, fix the mechanics that need a twerk and drop the worst features
They seem to be changing this. Zelda is actually getting spin-offs lately.
>weapon durability
Good god. It's a part of the game design. Get over it.
It's had two in the last two years with Cadence of Hyrule and now Age of Calamity, but I don't really see them keeping it up unless they license it out to more third-party and indie devs. Mario has several in-house teams and third-parties like Camelot, NDCube and Intelligent Systems always churning out spinoffs, but I doubt Zelda can get anywhere close.
>Rain makes you slip
How is this not sensible?
Cadence of Fagrule says otherwise
the art for the game alone is enough to count it off as trash
just give them unique assets and better rewards and we are set
The promotional art is bad but I like the in-game sprites.
I'll never get why you fags are so ride or die on the current system just because it has the Nintendo(tm) stamp of approval.
Would you still defend it if every weapon broke in a single hit? It's part of the game after all, or are you willing to admit there is a point where its too fucking much?
Man I wish the weapons would break faster. I rarely had shields and bows break on me and the only time I was running low on weapons was when I was in hyrule castle.
>Rain makes you slip
I've literally never had a problem with rain. There was pretty much always a way to get to where you needed without just climbing and even just climbing wasn't all that difficult depending on the situation.
Do you guys ever even try or do you just give up whenever you can't bruteforce things?
music and link sounding like a girl
I just want a igavania zelda game spinoff
>It's a part of the game design
And it's poorly thought out and contradictory to other elements of the game. It's bad and should be changed. You're also stupid.
>Rain makes you slip
The biggest issue with rain is that you can't gain any means to manipulate the weather.
Like if Mipha's power was a rain toggle, or something.
>Weapon durability
Was a non-issue. I wouldn't care at all if they removed it, although I'd prefer an improved system.
Imagine if BotW 2 came with a Curse of the Moon equivalent.
I was playing this yesterday for the first time in a few years. Fucking amazing game.
Agreed, the labyrinth ones were pretty cool too
If only user If only
I like rain in BotW.
It cuts your climbing power by roughly 50%~, but it also greatly boosts your ability to surf and all your lightning weapons.
And hit you take to climbing is nowhere near enough to make it impossible to climb. But it might be enough to alter what the optimal path is.
I didn't like the labyrinth ones. whole point of the game was climbing, so why wouldn't I climb to the top of them and look for the entrance that way? They also looked so cool that I had assumed they'd be part of the main story some how (like maybe we'd go there with Zelda and a halfway point in the story) so it was a let down for me.
>>Rain makes you slip
Do you want rain to simply be cosmetic? I think stuff like this makes the game feel more alive.
