The wii bubble popped and reality hit nintendo very fucking hard during the wii u years. They were thinking they could coast of wii hype but failed to make the console remotely appealing, forced gamepad, and completely abysmal marketing and name.

Think the only one of relevance is Square Enix, and frankly, I don't know how they're still relevant. They turned their backs on Nintendo, and then got salty when Nintendo told them to fuck off and stay fucked off. But then, Square Enix have routinely proven they don't know how to develop... anything... of value. They've made 3 movies, all of which lost them enormous amounts of money. They sell their current games to a bunch of new fags that don't know why the old games were liked, but hey, it has tits on the box. Their MMO is competing in the special olympics of game development.
I can understand why they won't move to Microsoft though. Japs are insanely imperialistic. Their culture is born from false superiority and delusion. Their text books make out they weren't horrible fucking war criminals in China in WW2, and that they didn't get their arses stomped into the floor by the west.

It's companies like atlus and falcom and scamco that refuse to act normal with switch support and the few things they do seem to only be send out to bomb as justification to not gie proper support expected of the biggest hit in japan.
