Unironically the better choice. 4K is a meme. 1440p IS the future and it's perfect, the better more convenient choice.
Huge up from 1080p in terms of visual fidelity, and all at only 30% more horsepower required. Next gen SHOULD have been 1440p and foremost. 4K is too much horsepower even by 2020s standards, 4k 60fps bogs down the true potential games can have.

Says you. After seeing how portable the Switch is even in the dock I am fully convinced that no disc drive is the future of video games. Go to game cards or flash drives if you need to, but discs are a thing of the past. They're bulky, noisy, and prone to getting damaged.
