What's your favorite Zelda race?
What race do you want to come back?
If you were Isekaied into the world of Zelda, what timeline/period and what race would you want to be?
I personally like the Zora and Subrosians, and I wish they would flesh out the Zuna more(they're the cactus people that live in the desert of Four Swords Adventures).
Zelda race thread
Hairy gerudo uta phimosis cocks...
I love fish girls, they make me feel so good
Fish
I wish they would flesh out the River Zola more like they did in A Link Between Worlds.
We know both Sea and River Zora have existed at the same time(see the Oracle games), so I wanna see more of their cultural differences when compared to the Sea Zora.
The problem is that outside of that cutie they're evil. It's like going into the culture of Moblins, Bokoblins, Lizalfos, or Lynels. Sure they all obviously have one since they're sapient, but Zelda has never been interested in going into designated monster race's culture.
>Zora
>Skull Kids
>Breath of the Weath, Lizalfos
The Deku are cool.
River Zora aren't monsters though, the canon explanation for why they attack people is because they are extremely territorial.
What defines a monster is that it attacks you. That's really it, there's no metaphysical difference outside of the shit from SS that's part of the Demon race.
That's what defines an enemy, not a monster.
You wouldn't call Yoga clan members monsters would you?
user they're not separate terms in Zelda. There's no distinction made about any of those races I named vs. other hostiles.
God that's hot
I always liked them but the way they made them a more 'heroic' race in BoTW was nice. Only shitty part of them now is how they ban men from the capital which sucks hard for the married girls who have to work there.
River Zora have pocket societies, they talk and trade with humans, they breed and socialize with other River Zora.
Things like Moblins and Stalfos are monsters, they are mindless, they don't reproduce they are created, they don't socialize, they just exist to cause pain, that's what a monster is.
Another example is Deku, they aren't monsters and they attack people.
Gerudo attack people, but they aren't monsters.
I can keep going.
River Zora are an environmental sub-species of Zora, they don't exist for the same reason monsters would.
BotW, post-Calamity Ganon. I want to marry a loli fish girl.
I liked their design in oot a lot more, why are they so fucking huge now? Back then their design suited their desert assassin style way better
>Things like Moblins and Stalfos are monsters, they are mindless
Did you play WW or OOS? They can interact with people just fine, they're simply stupid. Stalfos are perfectly intelligent too going off of MM, but I don't blame you for arguing Termina is different. Otherwise, Lizalfos and Lynels are both shown to be capable of forging metal equipment, which is not something a no-sapient can do, and this proves that they're not mindless even if they're savage. The only race I named that there's no proof they're especially smart is Bokoblins, but they're capable of at least manning and ship, which implies they have to be intelligent. I mean obviously River Zora and Deku Scrubs are 'less' hostile, in that they're just territorial shitheads and not actively throwing in with the bad guy (most of the time) but come on.
OoT gerudo, BOTW fish
I'm glad they removed the dagger nose for something that's still big but more normal.
There's so many under developed races, I blame Nintendo's insistence on doing OoT again with the "there's 4 main hylian races" .
>What's your favorite Zelda race?
Gorons
>What race do you want to come back?
Deku and Kokiri, Koroks are an inferior to both
Okay you're right, now I just wanna see what a monster society would look like in a Zelda game ala Dragon Quest.
When I was a kid I thought the gerudo noses were ugly, but now I find it to be the hottest part.
How did this happen?
>What's your favorite Zelda race?
Sheikah
>What race do you want to come back?
Twili
>If you were Isekaied into the world of Zelda, what timeline/period and what race would you want to be?
Gerudo (Voe) pre-Ocarina of Time. So I can kill Twinrova and outlaw demon tribe magic. Then proceed to reform my people into Merchants and Bankers, while also encouraging my daughters to marry into Hylian Nobilty and Knight families; adoption of Hylian male orphans will also help too.
>Demon race
I'm surprised we have yet to see more actual examples. We have:
>Ghirahim
>Demise
>Cole
>Maledeus
>Maybe Majora?
>Maybe Bellum?
>Ganon (LttP timeline)
... but they are only final bosses. We have Batreaux as the sole exception, but I would like to see them depicted as an actual race.
Imagine the suction
To be fair BoTW has 6, Hylian, Sheikah, Zora, Goron, Rito, and Gerudo. There's also Kokiri even if they're not major. It only really sucks if you wanted more lore on one-off or more minor races like the Twili, Yetis, Kokiri, or Minish, for the bad guy races to get more lore (I'm sure for most it's Lynels especially,) for the non-Hyrulean races to get more lore and show up like the Tokay or Subrosians, or for one of the SS races to get mentioned again to definitively prove if they're extinct or not (Kikwi. Mogma, Parella.)
>Deku and Kokiri, Koroks are an inferior to both
This is the truth. Though I'm of the opinion that you can have all of them. Koroks feel like little mischievous spirits that don't really have a "culture" so much as similar beliefs and common personalities. Deku and Kokiri on the other hand have actual civilized aspects to them and are more interesting as a result.
Back then they were Thieves, but in BotW they are Merchants; so their martial skills as a warrior tribe shifted to focus on only overt combat now.
>but I would like to see them depicted as an actual race.
That'd require them to expand on what the demon realm they come from is like, we're more or less dealing with the scraps that slipped through when Demise broke out that Hylia couldn't get rid of, the majority of them are probably stuck in hell.
>There's also Kokiri
Meant Korok, of course.
>japs write right to left, left to right, or top to bottom
God will you fucking just pick one?
Ganon should have been retconned away after Ocarina. They keep awkwardly shoehorning in the pig form because they Have To and it hasn't ever felt right. His human form should have been the series antagonist the whole time.
I do wish we could get some more lighthearted monster antics like we got in parts of OOA/OOS. Link having to infiltrate a Bokoblin city or something would be a fun time.
