Because being fat is a choice, and a bad one at that. It should not be encouraged. In fact, it should actively discouraged; fat people should be ridiculed and insulted. The only way drawn fat is even marginally ok looking is by (literally) smoothing over all the many negatives. Fat people IRL are not smooth, they are lumpy, smelly, lazy, and almost always have shitty personalities to go along with their shitty bodies.
