Yeah I am. Have been waiting to upgrade for a while now and might get this if the numbers are good. I'm keeping my eye on a couple of tech-review sites I trust and will evaluate it up against my current card carefully.

No. I could care less. Barely any interesting games worth the upgrade.

>new cards don't have DVI
Is it time for me to finally move on?

I can't wait until its 20% tops upgrade over 2080ti in real world benchmarks for vidya

20% is nice. If I had a 2080Ti I probably wouldn't upgrade though. By rule of thumb I always wait at LEAST one generation of GPUs before upgrading.

>cheaper card is a 20% better than its most recent predecessor
In what universe is this a bad thing?

I love how AMD is trying to one-up Nvidia by advertising in Fortnite of all things. The game that practically runs on... well, your phone.

cheaper by what metric
remember there was no hype for the 2000 series, it was always available, sometimes even had small 10% sales on some online stores and the dollar was a few cents lower on 2018 before the corona meme

good luck getting a retail price 3080 for at least 6 months if you didn't include preorder shekels or camp outside a store

By the metric that smaller numbers are smaller than larger ones you ditz.

This. Also right now a 1070ti is pretty much all you need for gaming, except for some really heavy games. The 30s will blow that card our of the water for the same or a lower price than the 1070ti

This is fake news nobody will buy these gpus it's a marketing scheme.
The literally make 5000 cards and then yell oh no it's all gone. I've checked the numbers in Europe.
They sell under 10k for most country's.
It's a niche market and it's overpriced too hell.
The cards cost nothing to produce how do you think they are making billions every year.
Simple you are paying 1.5k for a card that costs 200$ to manufacture.

Dude, even if its 900$, the 2080Ti was 1000$ on launch, but you couldn't find one under 1100/1200$.
So a 2-300$ cheaper card being 20% better is still good.
You are a moron.

3080ti when?

Based and researchpilled.

Nvidia also did some shit with fortnite, like dlss and rtx for that turd of all games.

20% used to be huge, how is this a bad advance now?

>20% used to be huge
lol

Not really because it's the same story as always. There will always be new cards, but right now there are no games that need them, and still no games that need even the 20 series. A year or two into next gen it might be worth the investment.

I intend to let the miners get their hands on them first. I don't get what the stigma is about "mining cards". Most of the time, if ran by good miners, they're treated very well, cooled very well and are rarely pushed to 100%. It's all about energy-consumption to performance and that means that most used GPU mining cards (at least the two I had) are perfectly fine.

I have a 2080 I paid 100 bucks as it was part of a mining farm a few years ago and I've never had a problem with it.

>pascal was overpriced
>turding was even more overpriced
>ampwhere going back to pascal prices and suddenly it's acceptable to be just overpriced
Looks like Ngreedia's tactics worked on dumb minds luke yours.

I actually agree with you. A ton of people cry about cryptomining because it's ruined retail prices. Used prices however have never been more competitive than they are now in my country. Personally I think it's really funny to look up "2080 Ti" one week before Nvidia makes an announcement, and then look up the exact same search term one day after. It's hilarious to see the dumps. Right now there's a 300 dollar 2080 Ti aftermarked available to me. That's pretty nuts.
You got lucky on that 200 though.

Don't care. Still buying 3090.

I’ll just wait for 5000 cards

fuck off tripfag

are founders cards going to be available in store or just on there website?

How long are we roughly going to have to wait for the card to become available again after it inevitably sells out in a minute?

Yeah, but even they aren't as high of an increase as nvidia claims i'm still buying a BFGPU from daddy jensen. AMD has nothing anywhere near the same performance as a 3070 let alone the 3090.

>Going to buy a 3090 not just for vidya
>Never bought a card at launch before
>Will look at the 3080 launch and see how that shit show goes so I know what to expect

im excited to see what rtx3000, radeon's gpus, amd's cpus, and intels rocket lake "improvements" can do.
helping a friend pick parts within the next year or so, and dont want to put them on a path of instant obsolescence.
